What a package. Whenever you decide to buy it, at whatever price, nobody will be disappointed.

Half the price is almost worth it for the miracle worked on the S&C 37/4! It's like a new loco.

Cracking route so far, dripping with atmosphere.

So, we have grumblings already about the price....

I look at it this way...

You can go to a well known supermarket and buy a can of cheap beer....or you could buy a bottle of expensive 'Craft' beer.

Upon dinking these, you would 'probably' notice a difference - the Craft beer would have been made with passion and attention to detail you would expect from a small independent establishment, whereas the cheep beer is mass produced, without using quality ingredients, and most likely will have no taste.

In my view, some on the stuff DTG have launched recently have been similar to cheep beer. Mr Armstrong, and his 'merry' men, then come along with a gorgeous concoction that has whetted my taste buds.

I'm now off to spend my £29.99 on something that has totally, and utterly, raised the bar.

30quid for a branchline his having a laugh. The WCML Trent route was less then that and that's of the same standard and had afew new items of rolling stock. If this was £24.99 it'll still be a bit high for a branchline but you could live with it as it'll be on par with some of DTG's routes prices. Those that love the class 37 and really want this route will of course feel this is worth it and I'm sure they will have lots of fun with it. But for me noway would I pay that much for a branchline not when I can get a 300mile route from another dev for £20

I am not questioning the quality / price ratio. I would be willing to pay the proposed price if it does not necessary to buy any additional DLC, that's all. I think it's not so difficult to understand.

There are brand new mk2 carriages with this, and in terms of everything added to the 37, adding things without the source files is very much more effort and time than editing the original, so DRA, TPWS, OTMR and everything else added to the loco has been done VERY well, especially to slot in in perfect harmony with the original re-textured cab underneath it all.

Excellent! I am sure many of us are looking forward to hearing about the positive experiences of those who've already purchased so we can decide whether or not to purchase ourselves.

Richard has always raised the bar with quality, I do not think anyone will ever say any of his products are not good enough.

However bearing in mind the length of the route here, and comparing the price with the price of other shorter routes I think the price is a little steep, I think a fiver less would be more realistic. that having been said, looking at the quality of the route on the preview last night I must say I am sorely tempted, even at this price. It reminds me of happy holidays on the broads.

No disputing the quality but OUCH! I wasn't expecting £30 (which comes to nearly €40 for me). I'm afraid AP may get flak for this but there is a way out; reduce the price to £20-25 and as a commercial gesture offer a season pass containing the planned future route scenario packs, for those who have shelled out £30.

Sounds like it's a class 37 fans heaven. Not being a great fan of that type of class and needing other DLC to run which for the price I feel it should not be needing other DLC. For me it's just not worth it. But it all comes down to personal choice at the end of the day. I'm sure there are those out there that feel the WCML Trent is not worth the money as it's set in a are they are not intrested in and I bet the same could be said for every route that's been made. Looking at the screen shots it'd clear that the guys who built it have put a lot of love into it and it would be intresting to see what they come up with next.

Can't really compare it to beers, especially craft ones, since a lot are nearly the same as cheap beers. Well at least in the Co-op.

The price to me is to high, look at the comments the Taurus published by JT got about the price. That seemed worth it for the features, but i haven't got it as i already have the fantastic HRQ one.

If DTG released a route of the same price and required the extra addon's they would get slated like anything (apart from the Maglev what is 3rd party most of there stuff is resonable priced and the routes are generally high in quality). Either way i can i afford it now, but choosing to wait as got Birthdays, Holiday to pay for etc what is far more important to me + I just got Western Mainlines, which i know most the areas for me and is of great value.

Either way enjoy the route and have good fun on it.

Personally whilst in my current financial/work position the price is a little on the high side I think you get a lot for your money and I think it is a better package than Trent Valley, but each to their own. I wonder if the semaphore signalling can be adapted to other routes i.e Riviera line in the 50's. I would also like to know if there would be a problem with a freeware backdated version of the route if somebody should chose to do this. Perhaps Richard could let us know to save any future debate and accompanying angst.

No problem at all if anyone wishes to do that. Only requirement of course is that it would need to require the original route to work and I'm not too sure about the mechanics of it.
