Hi
I've just had a look on Facebook and they are showing a screen shot of a new French route, that they will be releasing no date specified,it's called St Pierre,it's a non TGV route,so they must be going to make some French locomotives as well to run on it.

Whilst it would be nice, I wonder if the sim can handle that length of route, even in modern day that is a lot of siding and mainline mileage, and potentially a lot of ai. Unfortunately it is unlikely to be in the 80's so probably not for me anyway, but would be nice for some no doubt.

I don't know Holz, Hamburg Hannover is a lengthy route and that is one of the easier routes to run on my machine, don't forget the massive Northern Europe Final route I could run that on my old steam powered pc.
I would very much like to see a long distance TGV/ICE routes instead of these teeny ones DTG seem to prefer. Munchen Augsburg is a case in point far too short for a decent run in an Ice 3 you hardly get to go fast at all.

Would be a surprising choice, given that DTG have London - Didcot anyway...
Although JT already have Bristol Parkway - Severn Tunnel Junction.

IMHO, SWML + a selection of docks / steelworks / collieries / valleys routes would be FAR more interesting...!

Hi Jean-Pierre

Many thanks for that news about the new French route from JT,doubt if I will buy it now as I can't see the Point of flashing Point A to Point B as fast as you can.

I would have preferred the old fashioned type route with Co rail trains with 9200,7200,electric loco's and diesel class 72000,67000,there's much more scope for that type of route.

Hi Jean-Pierre,
Is this the Atlantic High Speed route we've been seeing developing on Facebook? If so then it looks fantastic, can't wait.

So - where did the Cardiff to London rumour come from???

Despite my comments about the various valleys possibilities, I'd still be very excited about the Cardiff to STJ section. Good basis for various homebrew extensions...

...but of course, would need to be a real prospect

I saw a mention of Cardiff and JustTrains somewhere in the last few days but for the life of me I cannot remember where, old age getting the better of me. JustTrains do have a recent track record of the epic length route so I wouldn't be surprised. It's not as if they are stepping on DTG's GWML toes. The old GWML is long in the tooth and is badly in need of a replacement, so why not.

If it's true then I would look forward to it
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

Agreed, an LGV (Ligne à Grande Vitesse) leaves me cold, as you say a more traditional main line full of character would have been much more interesting, along with some wheezy old French diesels.

I've done my share of investigation and searching for it, but have been unable to find any trace of JT or the mentioning of the route? Perhaps the O.P can show us this illusive facebook post?

I'm much more interested in modern routes and rolling stock, especially high speed so their French route sounds great, I'll be keeping an eye on how it develops.
