vR Christmas/Advent Sale?

Post by jstange »

Hello,

anybody with any knowledge of what vR plan for this year's Christmas? I really liked their last year's advent sale - waking up every morning wondering what item is discounted. I already had most of the items I wanted, but still got a few more during that sale.

Would be great if they do the same this year. Now with Railjet on offer, it's pretty hard - if I get it I'll probably not get any other loco (from vR or anyone else). Wait for a vR's possible sale or not? What a tough decision... :-?

I did not like that kind of sale because you only get the chance for one day and if you are busy doing other things - work - family etc, you cam miss them.

The current sale at 55% off most items has been quite good even though I have not bought much.

I'm highly sure vR will offer another loco for free, like the E03 last year.

Yep, different discount everyday, but you can always buy on the device of your choice and download to your PC later if necessary.

Looks like they may have already started. Have a look at the "Hot Sales" on the lower left column every day.

You either have the DBag version or you are mixing up your loks, the DR version came with the DR comfort coaches. The DR 143 came with Y tpes.

That's another one off my vR wish list! There's loads of scenarios for the BR103 ORot on the vR website so this should get plenty of use. I've been having a bit of a German fest at the moment running some of my older vR models in addition to my newer purchases. I had a great drive on 3CCR the other day with the BR111 S-Bahn - the grey and orange one, even though it could now be considered an 'older model' it still stacks up very well against some of the newer models.
