Hello
When I have TSX Mode turned on (Dynamic Lighting/Weather) all the stations are really dark by these really dark shadows and it is so annoying. Could anybody help with what is going wrong. I have shadow quality up to high but i dont know what is causing the problem.
Many Thanks,
Alex

I can't post screenshots as I am not at home for a couple of days now. My graphics card is Nvidia GeForce 750ti
Re: Dark Stations on TSX Mode
It could be a result of an incompatibility between using the new 3D weather with Armstrong Powerhouse enhancement packs.
If you use the 'lighting effects enhancement pack' from Armstrong powerhouse on routes with 3D weather then this could be causing the problem. It only happens for a short while at sunrise and sunset with 3D weather as the times coded into the game for sunrise/sunset don't match the modified AP settings.
So you really have 3 options if u want a quick fix.
1) go into scenario editor and change weather for each scenario to a non 3D setting
2) use RWTools to change scenario start time
3) uninstall AP Lighting Effects enhancement pack and vertify cache to put everything back to default.

I don't have the lighting effects enhancement pack installed on the computer. It happens when I put the weather to clear skies.firetrap1 wrote:It could be a result of an incompatibility between using the new 3D weather with Armstrong Powerhouse enhancement packs.

So it's not as clear cut, or as wide spread asAlexfenn591 wrote:It happens when I put the weather to clear skies.
but a rather specific setting.Alexfenn591 wrote:When I have TSX Mode turned on (Dynamic Lighting/Weather)
Easy answer is not to use clear skies, but that doesn't explain why it's happening so exactly which version of clear skies are you using?--we must have 4 or 5 different ones by now.

I'm not sure what you mean by version of clear skies? I am pretty sure it is something to do with the shadows because it is the really dark shadows making things dark.gptech wrote:So it's not as clear cut, or as wide spread asAlexfenn591 wrote:It happens when I put the weather to clear skies.

My specs are as following:
Intel I5 processor
GeForce GTX 750ti Graphics Card
8GB Ram
1TB Hardrive
Could any of my specs be causing this trouble?

The clear skies defined by the file ..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Weather\RW_Clear.bin, or the clear skies defined by ..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Weather\SL_Clear.bin, or by Assets\Kuju\RailsimulatorUS\Weather\Clear.bin or any of the many weather patterns that come bundled with individual routes.Alexfenn591 wrote:I'm not sure what you mean by version of clear skies?
No.Alexfenn591 wrote:Could any of my specs be causing this trouble?
You've said all your stations are dark---have you really tried every station in every route you have installed? Which route, and indeed even which scenario on which route (as weather is set by the scenario) are you seeing this problem?
