Yes, a DB version would be nice for scenes like this...

Seems that the shock has worn off, a few complaints about the sounds and poor manual, but generally very positive about the model.

Ken,

As fas as I know RW/0381 has the West German (DB) version of the 3-axle rebuilts (Umbauwagen), see my last screenshot. Holz and I were referring to the East German (DR) 2-axle and 3-axle rebuilts (Rekowagen)...

Does that mean the "freight cars", as you say over the pond, (wagons) are unsuitable for use in other scenarios with other locos?

It seems that there is an issue with collison boxes when using this lok with some VR wagons. Maiks opinion is that the loco collision box is incorrect.
Details with diagrams here (in German of course) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... 231&type=3
IF I understand it correctly the collision box comes down too low to the track with the BR86

Hi
A bit off topic although I like the look of this locomotive, and will possibly get it sooner or later, depends on how well it's received by forum members
My favourite German Tank loco's are the BR 065&085, just wondering if either of these have been made.

They were not only used on Branch lines, but for freight, shunting, and stopping trains as far as I know. In fact I suspect that a DB re-skin will be under way already across the water.
Wagons are more difficult as DR wagons are an area that is pretty bare at the moment. DB wagons with the black and white biscuit symbol would be ok for cross border freight, and of course there are some German models with no DB symbol, also international wagons from other countries were more common in the DR than might be exp
Thanks for that info. Holz, I've made a note of the Payware goodies, I'll probably play with this on the Rostock layout until someone can give us a nice DB reskin.

When the locomotive is coupled with vR wagons it occurs as a shock wave. :drinking:

And so it happens... all now thinking that the vR wagons are the reason. Thanks DTG

PS: as i explained on Facebook, the loco is the problem (again, same as the Gravita last time).
