Jack, go into the editor and enlarge the tunnel on all sides, you don't extend it, if you mess it up you can always do a re-install as the route is free from other mods at the moment. But note, for some it doesn't work.

Same loudness on Hamburg - Hannover. Turn the sound up to hear the quiet ICE and BOOM a bridge and complaints from my wife.

Not likely matey, not after spending £30 for the next year! Besides it's not a good idea to have no anti virus especially these days.jstange wrote:Time to get rid of your AV and run your Windows without it...like me...

I think the update to this route has eliminated that?chrisreb wrote:Same loudness on Hamburg - Hannover. Turn the sound up to hear the quiet ICE and BOOM a bridge and complaints from my wife.

You are pretty safe if you use your windows only for a limited set of activities. I use mine just for games (TS mainly), for real work I use my linux installation (on the same PC). Can't do much with Windows anyway, most of the things I really need are functional on linux only (or at least work way better there).smarty2 wrote:Not likely matey, not after spending £30 for the next year! Re: Berlin - Leipzig
I finally had time to test the route and I have to say I'm impressed. The works is very good and the station at Leipzig is very huge.
The only negative thing are:
the bug with the tunnels at Berlin, which I haven't been able to fix and I hope that a patch will come out
the lack of the nord/sud tunnel from berlin gesundbrunnen to potsdamer platz, but maybe it will come in a future update.
I give the route a 9/10

Re: Berlin - Leipzig
Indeed, I think it is my AV's "active threat control" that is causing the problems, seems having it on a moderate setting is causing too many false positives!
Getting back to the route, the tunnel sounds at Berlin are way too high, don't remember them being that loud in the Berlin Wittenberg route.

Re: Berlin - Leipzig
Beautiful route - absolutely A1.
I have a question about some of the AI in the bundled scenarios - they seem to be using freight from the European pack and it looks like there is a fairly wide era represented. I may be completely wrong, but somehow they don't look prototypical to the route era.
Anyone able to advise?

Re: Berlin - Leipzig
Supplied with the route are wagons by VR, I presume but haven't really checked that these are the ones that were also with Koeln Dueselldorf, could be wrong though. AI coaches are from TTB and are bespoke for the route and apt for the time period. Some use has been made of the elap vehicles in scenarios particularly the basic non-payware ones to give variety. Without doubt scenarios will appear soon on the German sites that will almost certainly use items from one or both of the previously released TTB packs and payware from VR, RSSLO, and or Railtraction, this is the only way to get near prototypical operation. TTB are also producing a pack for Seddin with new AI vehicles appropriate for the time and period, including models of active museum vehicles. No doubt scenarios will come using that after release as well. There is no German route that currently comes with all vehicles included to make realistic scenarios, but there are some excellent scenarios available on the German sites. So no, as supplied AI is not 100% to the era, but a compromise based on what was available without the cost of the route becoming astronomical. Pretty similar to the majority of routes in TS.
Re: Berlin - Leipzig
To run prototypical scenarios, you will need an insane amount of DLC. Generally speaking, Regional trains are made of BR143 and doubledecker wagons for regional express and br111 and single deck coaches for regional express. Intercity are made by br101 or 120 and eurofima wagen in the IC livery + steuerwagen. ICE service are hauled by ICE 1,2 and T. Then S bahn in Berlin is hauled by BR481 and in Leipzig by the Talent. Freight trains are usually hauled by BR185, 155 and 189. Interconnex is hauled by a BR146. I hope this clarifies a little bit

Hi
I was just wondering if I should uninstall my old Berlin-Wittenberg,route before installing the new Berlin-Leipzig route,or does this version overwrite the original.

Re: Berlin - Leipzig
The AI BR481, IC cars and dostos are supplied with the route. Pretty much all of what is needed for AI is supplied in the two TTB scenario packs. A driveable version of the BR481 is available as a basic freeware or more fully featured payware. BR111 and BR120 as driveable expert line loks from VR, or simple versions from steam. BR185, BR155, 189, & 146 driveable versions from steam with numerous re-skins available, the various Ice & Talent from steam with numerous improvement patches available for free. But if you have the 2 TTB packs then you can produce realistic scenarios with only a couple of driveable add-ons, because the TTB packs will provide the AI. The third pack on the way will add even more variety. No Mike the new route doesn't overwrite the old, the secenarios for the old route don't work on the new so if you want to drive these keep the old one as well. You will also need the old one if you have the Seddin add-on.

Re: Berlin - Leipzig
Only problem I am getting with the route is the night time scenario with the ICE2, causes my graphics driver to fall over. Looks nice night time too. Still can't expect everything from such a big route. Seems like I will have to save up for a better graphics card and an SSD.
Best Regards
