Eastbound Rat for Weardale

Post by davep »

On the above scenario for the above route, can anyone please tell me what the SECOND loco encountered is?
The first one is a class 40 with 2 brake vans as one pulls out of the yard but the one I'm after is near the next
station. All I can see is the wagons and brakevan (moving!) but with only couplings showing for the loco.
Asus Z97-K. Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4 GHz. 3GB NVidia EVGA GTX780Ti. 16GB DDR3 RAM. Sound Blaster Z. Windows 10 64 bit.
2x960GB SSDs, 3x2TB internal HDDs and 2x1TB & 1x2TB external HDDs.

Generally you can solve this long-standing issue by not going walkabouts, or rotating through views if you (don't) see it approaching.

But not if the *missing* loco is one that has the .Geo in the wrong place, or not at all....I'd love to answer your question properly Dave, but i'm not at home, don't have the scenario, don't have the reskin pack so hopefully someone who does fill those criteria will post with a *real* answer to the question.

I think I had the same problem, and I am sure it was a 47 from the engine sounds, I think the problem could be with Class 47 BR BluePre HIH, which shows up in RWTools in scenario editor as 47134 in that scenario.

I hope this of some help.

*EDIT* Looks like I got beat to it, and by a better answer to boot! :D

Thanks chaps - will give that download a whirl just as soon as I've migrated my Steam
drive to my SSD - which is taking a l-o-n-g time.

The second train encountered is indeed Class 47, 47134 with a train of 15 empty minerals and a brakevan.

Downloaded that UKTS file only to find I already had it installed.
Cannot see a loco numbered 47134 anywhere in Assets.

You won't...it's a dynamically numbered loco. not a 'one off' reskin so the number is (initially) generated by the randomness of the .dcsv file, over-ridden if needed by the scenario writer. What is the name of the .GeoPcDx file in your ..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class47\Default\Pre HIH folder?

Hi
When I ran the scenario through RW Tools,it came up loco not found for the 47,I ended up switching it in the end for a class 47 from WCML over Shap.

Gary, the geopcdx is simply called class47.geopcdx.

And oddly Mike, I attempted to check with RW Tools and that scenario didn't appear in the list!

Wrong .Geo Dave, it uses the green loco's .Geo as that doesn't have the high intensity headlight stuck on the front. Delete that .Geo and copy over ..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class47\Green\Engine\class47_green.GeoPcDx to your ..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class47\Default\Pre HIH folder.
You'll be getting the 'invisible loco' fault because the .bin tells the game to load the class47_green.GeoPcDx file, so when it can't find such a file in the folder it's told to look in it just gives up and loads what it can find.
