Only thing that lets Creative's effort down imo, the lack of track furniture. :(

Now, if only Creative would employ 'Fakenham', and give him the time, then think what wonderful routes we'd enjoy.

The thing I think lets Creative Rail more down is the limited asset pool they can use (pretty much just the European/American asset packs) as most of the trees, track and whatnot are the ones from Rail Simulator days which compared to the content they create (Like station and buildings and depots which are incredibly high quality) are subpar.

I do hope them partnering with DTG though means that if they release routes on steam they'll get to use the new 3d trees and stuff as I think the guys at Creative Rail are incredible talented and just limited by the asset pool available to them.

Yes.
Also with the old overhead wires, no uses the new catenary tool.
And the tracks also seems of the early versions of railworks with those coppery textures.

Looking forward too it, I'm presuming that owners of the previous version might get a discount when finally released.

Don't bank on it.

I have all 3 parts of their ECML and their CCfE
but when I contacted them about a possible discount of
the now-on-Steam version of CCfE, I was told they couldn't find my email address.

I also emailed Creative Rail about the update to CCfE and received the new version for free, I didn't get a steam code but I did get a rwp file containing the full package that was available on steam.

I hope there is a discount for people who have bought the previous version of this route. I bought all 3 versions of the non modern version which turned out to be the most expensive route I've bought and part 1 of the modern version. Both are quite good, but I don't like how they've used generic items such as signal EN444! Hopefully the modern version when completed will have proper signal identifiers on them. The modern route should really have the same feel as the Kings Cross to Peterborough route and Darren Porter's upgraded York to Newcastle and Just Trains' Newcastle to Edinburgh. Once this is done we will be able to run a modern London to Edinburgh service which will be something. Just need the same level of coverage on the WCML!

I would imagine there would be a discount like the BR era ECML however, I too felt pretty stung after buying the original as the parts were released only to find, including taking into account the discounts for buying the previous parts in turn, I paid over £13 more for the completed route than if I'd waited until it was completed through to York and bought as one.

When I bought each part in turn, I did so thinking I was supporting the developer and therefore aiding continued work on the rest of the route. As you can imagine, I wasn't best pleased when I worked out the full price of my full route. So much for showing loyalty to a developer to help see the job through eh?
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

Creative Rail seem to be going down the path of the old Europeanbahn version of the East Coast Mainline, which was in 4 parts to get to York,Part 1 Kings X- Peterborough, then there was Part 2,Then the other 2 parts were Leeds Loop, and Hertford Loop,It worked out at just under £100.00 to buy all the parts.

I have the 1970's version of this route,so I doubt if I will by the modern version, although depending on the cost and what stock you get with it and whether it will released via steam,I might then get it in a steam sale.

Hmmm, well, after the new consumer laws on digital content that came into play yesterday, I ask you all, is this -

-Satisfactory quality.
-Fit for purpose.
-As described.

Cheerz. Transport Steve.
