Surely that's the standard you personally expect rather than a universally expected one?
In law (Consumer Rights Act 2015)

Digital content must be of satisfactory quality according to the expectations of a reasonable person taking into account price, description and other circumstances. So, by way of example, the standard to apply in respect of a 1p app will not be the same as applies to an app worth £20.

You have defined the law - excellent.

Now please define a "reasonable person".

Basically, the law's an . then....there's nothing defined in that definition as 2 reasonable people will possibly have slightly different views on what can be expected--one may but emphasis on the sounds, the other may be more concerned with the physics......

So you're now saying it's not "the usual abysmal array of re-hashed old junk" but rather "the usual abysmal array of re-hashed old junk, plus one item I'm happy with"? Didn't Matt say in the advance preview (if we're lucky Len will define just what that means, and what a reasonable person can expect to be changed by the time the product is ready for sale) that it was still WIP?
Why should we expect updates to anything as *right*? If those updates correct major faults, as in the thing not working, then yes; but is expecting everything to be upgraded to stay in line with advances in the game itself reasonable? If you buy this years car would you expect the interior re-vamping when the new model is released?

EDIT:
Can we get back on topic now please?...if you want to moan about the BR Blue pack jimmy would you do so in the thread about it?

The Cravens is not the issue. It's the loco stock. No significant cab updates for stock that dates back to original Rail Simulator days. On the twitch preview all that could be heard was the overpowering and awful class 25 idling drowning out everything... well everything except for the even worse Voldemort horn which is a feature of the class 37 it seems. Still no nose view in the Deltic cab, an issue that has been debated since 2007!!
Don't get too excited, I was so shocked you had something positive to say, so it stayed with me.

It was only four months ago, you haven't posted much since, was not hard to find.

Ooh, just check out the grass on the other side.

They just about managed to update the T:ANE Deltic cab in time for the release of T:ANE, it was awful until then looking as smart as it did in 2001 - at least the Deltic and some US Diesel stock now has an Ok cab in T:ANE.
But....

So much of the other loco stock in T:ANE still has cabviews that were exciting 12 years ago perhaps, and haven't been updated at all since then... It's an awfully big turn-off for that "sim".

Really, when you compare to the grass growing elsewhere, it's really not so bad. Even if the noseview issue of the Deltic really ought to have been fixed by now. :P
And hey even so, if you don't like it, you don't buy it.

:D

Just bought this the other day, really impressed with it so far. I tried the railfan mode at Willesden Junction - it was so close to my own experiences watching trains there (the camera was positioned almost exactly where I stand), it was spine-tingling. I'm planning to make an expanded version of it with more varied rolling stock.

Would need to be tested in court and the lawyers would earn huge fees arguing the meaning of "reasonable" in the context of the "letter of the law" and the "spirit of the law". Ultimately the judge would decide, which would set a legal precedent which could then be used in similar cases or argued all over again!

I know I'm going against an earlier post I made, but....

I keep telling you jimmy; far better to base a review/opinion on something that's finished and available...

Hello :)

I have updated my AP Electrostar soundpack and I was wondering if I was the only one to have the sound of the wiper motor pause between each single wipe on the Class 378 and not the 377 ? Is this due to the 378 having a bigger windscreen ?

Nope not just you, I had that wiper sound when I installed the soundpack to the original 378.

Sorry fellas. Didn't have time to edit the wiper sound to fit the new wiper duration but thought you'd prefer the sounds like this than not at all.

Although a wee update would be nice, this is not an urgent matter and I very much prefer thanking you for your work !

Ha Ha, I wouldn't mind but your not even the first to post that picture.
Do any of these people read the forums before they jump in with both feet?
