Yes, I just tried re downloading once again for the third time and still no go. Thinking at first it may be an issue with my computer I tried a couple of my other JT items and ran the install .exe file's of those,and they all behaved and worked as it should which makes me believe that maybe a faulty .exe file has uploaded on the website.

It was 564,329kb.

Hunting around for the manual in all the usual places but cannot find it so won't be driving it anytime soon it seems.

@michelhendle
We tried to make the railjet as hard or as easy as the customer wants it to be. If you prefer to just cruise along without all the fancy stuff switched off, jump into the train, press Ctrl and + to switch cab (if necessary), Press Ctrl+Shift+Z at the same time and wait for the train to do its thing. Once done, press Ctrl+Shift+S to switch off the SIFA and Ctrl+Shift+A to switch off the PZB. Now the train is ready to drive with all saftey systems switched off.

All you need to remember is that the power lever is locked. You need to unlock it first by pressing A+E. After that it is the usual A for faster D for slower. If you go to 0% power and press D again the lever will be in the locked position again.

I hope this helps

@chrisreb
You can download the manuals from the JT website http://www.justtrains.net/articles/rwa- ... 16-on-sale. My manuals folder in TS has become so large that I also find it difficult to find specific manuals. I keep them in a separate file now where they are sorted by publisher and train type.

Downloaded and installed with no problems. My main problem is the driver's desktop, which is so dark that I barely can find various buttons like the parking brakes release. This button in the Driving Trailer is positioned in kind of difficult to find place, more over, it is not illuminated. Also, if I have been arrested by LZB or Sifa, there is a yellow light which I can't reset. But my main problem is connected with the barely visible black buttons or hadles positioned on black desktop.
Maybe I need to increase the magnification of all controls and guages to make them more visible.

Hi Adam

How dark or light the cab is, often depends on the weather or the position of the sun outside. Sometimes during dusk I get the sun blazing and illuminating everything. The easiest way to make sure you see everything is to switch on the ceiling light in the cab.
In the manual it is on page 18 (button 6).

The Sifa will stop you if you don't press the pedal under the desk every few seconds (space bar on the keyboard). You can de-activate it either by pulling the circuit breaker or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+S.

The PZB is a nasty little . and will stop you for every little offence. You have to acknowledge every warning signal that isn't green and follow a pre-defined deceleration curve. It is explained in the manual. If it is too much, do what I tend to do and press Ctrl+shift+A (or pull the circuit breaker at the back) and drive without it :-)

Regards

I was hoping there might have been some Quick Drive consists to learn with.
So I just did a quick trial with the Bludenz - Lindau run - I opted for the Quick Start but when I tried T for opening the doors nothing happens.
Set off ok but part was along it just froze and I had to crash myself out.

I will give it another go tonight.

Hi Peter

There should be some quickdrive consists included. Best to use the search option on the top right. Just type in "railjet" That should do the trick.

The scenario Feldkich - Lindau starts with the train already boarded. You just need to start it up and wait for the scheduled time of departure. Where about did TS crash? So far no one has reported problems with the included scenarios.

Many thanks

So far - trying my first scenario. Eventually got it going but emergency stop after amile. Could not get going again. Loaded up scenario again - TS2016 crashed. 2 subsequent tries loaded but no sound.

Off to reboot and try once more.

An hour in and finally get going. Made first stop a bit late. Lots more fiddling and managed to change over to Austrian from Swiss setting. Getting later - set off again and sim crashes to desktop with no warning. Running Win 10 with 8GB ram.

Hi Stefan,

I had not made it to the first stop but I was running without the AFB on - I had forgotten it - so I switched it on whilst moving and maybe that caused TS16 to crash.
I will try it again tonight
