Prehaps they should have a go at building a loco like this and then come back and let us all know if they still think it's too expensive.

Check how much you'll pay for buying each individual vR E10 / E40 variant and see if the latest Taurus is still expensive.

On the other hand compare it to the price of the HRQ Taurus, and see if you find it expensive, with the coaches and scenarios which you get with it.

No, my problem is not the price per sé, it's the fact that I already own both the HRQ Taurus and the DTG Taurus (and now a second DTG Taurus too).

So I can't yet justify to myself the expense of buying yet another Taurus, and not even knowing how often I'll use it.

Yeah, I do have bought far too many versions of the BR143/243, in expert line and normal variants. But I knew I kind of just had to, for the scenarios on the Freiberg (Sachs) route...
And yes I did already spend an uncomfortable sum in E10/E40 versions... So time to spend wiser on them too... But they are just more my thing than the Taurus.

So, it's a tempting lok, I might still get it in a sale, but, I'm sorry, not now...

For the same reason, having 3 versions of the same Semmering route would probably not have been a good idea either, unless one of them would have been in a different era!
So I understand the reason to stop developing it.

Cheers,

A question for those of you who have the RailJet,

How do you change ends?
Tried it the normal way, power to off, direction to Neutral but having changed ends I could not take power without an audio warning in German.
The Scenario was on Felberpass v2 where the player train is a double DB 406 set so I swapped the vehicles in the editor to a double RailJet.
You start at Bregau sidings and drive in to the station, reverse then dive the high speed section to Innbach.

My solution was propel the set in to the platform then drive as normal :)

Has anyone else had a problem reversing ?

I got a reply from Stefan.

I have a female voice saying "federspeicherbremse" when I tried to take power after changing ends.
When you change ends check the Parking Brake in the cab you change to.
And that should solve the problem.

When you say you reinstalled the Taurus do you mean the RailJet set or the HRQ Taurus?

I'm talking about the Railjet one and the patch mentioned in the quote below, I used to have it, but I accidentaly removed it from my computer, and the link isn't valid anymore.

Ok, so we have collected all your feedback and the Thomas, who does all the scripting (I am just the 3D modeler), has come up with a small patch.

You can download it here:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/z4srycfa69ckm ... e.zip?dl=0

Simply install it using the TS utilities shortcut. If you are not sure please ask, I will explain it to you.

It would be great to get your feedback on this. The patch will fix the issues with PZB, LZB and ZUB. If it works we will pass it on to JustTrains.

Any other problems, please let me know. We will try and iron out everything we come across.

I'm talking about the RWA RailJet Taurus, I previously had LZB working with the patch mentioned in quote. However the link isn't valid anymore.

I would suggest a PM to FSCLIPS as he is one of the authors of the RWA Railjet.

This is weird. So now we get bug fixes for commercial products (and rather expensive products I might add) by begging developers via PMs using a third party forum?

If LZB does not work OK, why hasn't the fix been incorporated into the pack at JT end or officially released?
