I notice that the startup music has gone and has been replaced with train sounds. Sound like American locos.

Yup ! A bit like RW3 ( I think it was ). Not quite as annoying as the old Railworks US shunting sounds, but still worse in my opinion than the "music".

One advantage of the music ( which admittedly annoyed a lot of people) was that your ear can detect a break in music ( very difficult with random shunting sounds ) and so identify that a scenario that had faulted, failed to load or gone to a dump file etc.

Does anyone know if there is a way of changing the startup/loading sounds ? I suspect this audio is in the core of the game and so cannot be changed.

The background sound is easy to change....not as easy as forgetting which file it is but I'll post again when I get home.
In the meantime, do you have a backup of TS2015?

You might like to have a look at file UKTS_30961. Explains all and a much better alternative - in my opinion!

I had never thought about looking in the Kuju folder. i.e railworks/Assets/Kuju/Railsimulatorcore/Audio/Ui_FrontEndLoop

I have replaced my UI_FrontEndLoop.dav file in TS16 from the one in my back up copy of Ts14 ( as I prefer that music ) although I could ring the changes and use the Ts15 one in the future .

I havn't tried the audio file in UKTS_30961 yet, but that is another possibility.

TS2016 is getting a little bit closer to "perfect" for me........ Now If I could just get rid of that pesky blue tinge !

Yep, ..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Audio\UI_FrontEndLoop.dav is the file to change--if you want to make your own .dav file from a favourite sound you may have use
