Hi

After getting advice from this forum, on how to submit a ticket re: registering my bought version of TS2016, I sent a ticket on Friday. I still haven't had a reply, or registration form appear. Are others who submitted a ticket re: the registration form still waiting?

Hi Kelvin,

I was also having a problem with getting registration for TS Rewards and I sent a ticket to them on Friday using this link:

http://dovetailgames.kayako.com/

After a couple of e-mails between us I had a confirmation e-mail for TS Rewards this afternoon.

I was a bit disapointed with DTG for offering me TS2016 for £29.99 when I had already bought most of the "new" routes including Koln-Koblenz, ShermanHill, Norfolk Southern Coal. I wan't going to pay Thirty quid for a couple of new locos and yet another Riviera line.

However I got very interested in the BR155 when I saw that repaints in DR colours were becoming available so I bought TS16 from g2play.net for £14, which is probably around any near future sale price.
No NS Coal, but of course I already had it.

I have the K-K bugs mentioned elsewhere ( failures to load some BR155 scenarios due to missing "Tracks.bin" {which is not missing} and broken consists ).

The manual allows for turning off Sifa (shift+enter {numpad} and Pzb (CTRL+Shift+ enter numpad) and this does work in the Testrak. However I can't turn off Sifa or Pzb in any BR155 scenario in K-K, even in a cloned as "Standard " scenario , as I assumed that turning off these items in a Career scenario would be prevented.

Has anyone else observed these problems with the BR155 on Koln-Koblenz ? Is it possible to turn of Sifa and Pzb in K-K with the BR155 ? It is perfectly possible with other locos like the 101 and 185.

"yet another Riviera Line..."? ................that sounds like we're inundated by the things!!
Many would consider it a bit *harsh* too; it's not as if it's a slightly re-worked version of the existing (plethora) of Rivieras (Rivieraeaux, Riveierii?) is it?

A little bit harsh perhaps ? But we do now have the Riviera Line, Riviera Line in the 1950s, South Devon Banks and South Devon Banks Modern. . If we are looking at routes that cover parts of the same tracks we have Barnstaple to Exeter , Bristol to Exeter and I'm sure I've missed some out.

Don't get me wrong. This part of the rail network is very interesting and scenic and I've taken the trouble to travel in real life over most of it. However this wasn't the main part of my comment and I'm sure most people knew what I meant. Not "inundated" agreed , but let's say "well served".

My main object was to try to get the BR155 scenarios to work as intended. The suggested "F2" trick when the "tracks.bin" is unjustly accused of being "awol" seems to work and if you completely shut down the loco, you can sometimes get the sifa and pzb to disable, even if you can't alway cancel the warning buzzer!

PZB and Sifa are turned off by default whenever I get into the BR155.

It is the second Riviera line and totally different as it is from a completely different period. It also has five loco's (more than a couple) and three sets of coaches. Plus offers a useful route for the other GWR/WR loco's we have. I wouldn't have wanted to run them on the modern version of the line.

For me it was worth the £24 I paid for it alone, without the extra routes and stock.

Do you really think DTG look at what freeware rotues are around (which most of the users probably don't know about) and think we better not make this route as there is a freeware version around?

Hi
I really enjoy running TS 2016 Riviera 1950's but technically,as it's got the Goodrington carriage sidings in,it's not completely accurate for running pre 1957,as that was the year the carriage sidings came into use.

The GWR had already had plans to put carriage sidings in the 1930's but the 2nd world war came along and it was postponed, then after the war it was a time of austerity(worse than this one, every thing was rashond, the last items came of rashon in 1955)so BR couldn't afford to put the sidings in until 1957.

So really you shouldn't run any thing set in the GWR or BR Lion on a Mono cycle era's,but with modelers licence you can always say the sidings were put in by the GWR just before the war.

The problems I mentioned occur in the default Koln-Koblenz scenarios with the default DB BR155 and not a reskin. Every default scenario I have tried so far has had, on start up, the BR155 running with Sifa and Pzb definately enabled.

I have found on my system that these cannot be turned off using the manual's instructions shift+enter( numpad) etc. when the loco is stationary, but powered up i.e. circuit breaker closed and pantograph up. ( You can tell when Sifa is enabled by the Sifa light being off and that Pzb is enabled when the 3 pzb speed lights are on). However if you shut down the loco ( engine stop green button on hud ) then usually you can disable Sifa ( shift+enter{numpad}) and disable Pzb ( Ctrl+Shift+enter {numpad}).

Like many I prefer to drive mainly in helicopter view and so it is essential to disable pzb and desirable to disable sifa.

In my opinion the BR155 is an excellent loco, well above the usual standard and probably worth the price I paid for TS16 alone. Repainted, it will be great on the various East German routes and Berlin-Wittenberg. The snow effects are great. One minor complaint would be that there is no "sparking pantograph"( unlike in DTG's advert illustration ) , which normally adds greatly to the realism of electric locos.

The other problem with some of the default scenarios for the BR155 reporting " unable to find tracks.bin and broken consists" so far seems to be solved by using the suggestion made earlier in this thread to "Press F2".

Does it have the stand German combinations for PZB Ctrl+Shift+A & Sifa Ctrl+Shift+S

Don't have the loco yet to try.
Waiting on a separate DLC :-?

Hi 749006,

The activate and deactivate are as described in my post above i.e. Ctrl+enter ( numpad ) for sifa deac. and Ctrl+Shift+enter (numpad) for pzb deac. I think the manual for this loco is on the web somewhere, even though it's not on DTG's site.

If you can find a discounted deal on TS2016, it may be worth getting the BR155 through this method, as you get other extras as well ( which may or may not interest you).If the loco comes out as a seperate DLC it will probably be at least £11.99 initially.

Hope this helps.

The manual states:
Sifa is short for Sicherheitsfahrschaltung or “Safety Driving Switch”.
The Sifa vigilance alerter is disabled at startup, but can be activated or deactivated by
pressing ‘Shift+Enter(Numpad)’.
so you unless it's scripted(?) into the scenario you shouldn't have it enabled when you start. There's a possibility here that you're confusing a scenario issue with a model issue, so have you tried it in a free roam?
Springer6 wrote: Every default scenario I have tried so far has had, on start up, the BR155 running with Sifa and Pzb definately enabled.
The Shift+NumPad Enter combination works (for me at least) in the second career scenario featuring the loco, "Calm run to Koln", as do the keyboard controls for PZB. The loco/scenario starts with the systems 'OFF' so it's very possible that you're the only one with problems.

Peter, "Does it have the stand German combinations for PZB Ctrl+Shift+A & Sifa Ctrl+Shift+S"---these don't seem to work, though there's an awful loot of scripting in this beastie so it's all probably bespoke.

Not a case of solving the problem but one of skirting round it, as F2 saves the scenario with any *missing* bits/problems removed---the cause of those bits being missing or what exactly causes those problems remains. It looks more and more likely that you have some corruption somewhere, or a serious underlying issue preventing TS from running fully.

Hmmm, you could be right about a corruption in my TS16 install. The "Hotfixv535a " downloaded yesterday ( I usually have steam offline). Since then, on the few scenarios I have tried, the BR155 now starts with sifa and pzb disabled. This is also the case in the Testrack, when it wasn't before the fix.

The fix has also seems to have affected the BR155 K-K scenarios. The "missing" bits issue, that quite a few others have reported, now seem to have disappeared, at least for me so far.
