Nobody's arguing that the base is *poor*---it is after all the best part of a decade old and many would say it wasn't really ready for release back then.
If the magnets have moved then that may be the root cause of the problem, but as you initially posted:

it may be wise to see if others corroborate your findings before accusing anybody of messing things up---we've seen track work change for some but not others before (WCML-N) so a dodgy download may be to blame. This idea is strengthened a little by:

If you do actually have a backup of TS then setup a new location as shown in the video, hopefully to a hard drive that doesn't also contain windows.
Good luck.
Hmmm, well, thank you very much for typing all that out for me, I can assure you that I never have my games on the same hard drive as my OS, as I've been left in the past with egg on my face after getting a virus and having my C drive wiped clean and having to re-install my OS, and then, take 2 weeks in re-installing all my games onto another drive from scratch, so, I'll never make that mistake ever again.
Cheerz. Steve.
Steve, bit of a long shot but perhaps having the folders named as those that Windows *protects* also causes issues---it shouldn't, as the full path is different but......
I'd also suggest you start looking at changing your ISP; here in the UK a capped account really is a thing of the past.
How reliable is your connection anyway?...the only times (twice) I've needed to run a verify *in anger* have been to kick start incomplete downloads of the yearly upgrades when I had a flakey connection. On both these occasions I too was *missing* much of the content. <smug mode ON> Now I have a nice fast fibre (to the cabinet) connection (28Gb/sec or so) for the same price I was paying before I have no such problems <smuggit OFF>
This was posted in a thread at RWA. Not too sure what it means. Matt might respond here.
I just saw a note over on FB from Matt (works for Rail Sim), and he said that if you had to buy 2016 to get your upgrade, to go to support and send in a help ticket, and that they'd respond in a timely fashion...which I did a couple of minutes ago.
I don't know what they can do, I heard that if you got the upgrade, you wouldn't get the Turbine engine, but if you purchased it, you would. It seemed that, for the money, it was worth the $38. and change to make the purchase, just to get the engine, because I thought that would be in that neighborhood anyhow.
Hope this helps, but I don't know what they intend to do at this point. I'll post a reply when/if I hear back from them....I'm sure they're swamped right now with tickets though.

Consumer connection at 28Gb/s? UK is _way_ ahead compared to the rest of the world then by a decade or two. You have home connections faster than uplinks in some data centers (where mostly still only 10Gb connections are used, speeds of 40 and 100 are only slowly coming in)
Is it my imagination or have DTG done an upgrade to their MK1 coach sounds?
The coaching stock bogie sounds are very realistic now when running on 'jointed' rail Routes and are really superb. Listening to these sounds whilst leaning out of the door window (using the "Passenger" view). Anyone else noticed this, something well worth having, especially in a free upgrade.

Thanks

Look at the carreer scenarios for one of 3 routes in the TS2016 package, and you should see some Rainfan scenarios. For Riviera '50s they're at the bottom of the list, seperated from the rest as "Railfan scenarios" or some similar name.
Should be the same in Col-Kob and Sherman Hill but didn't yet look for them in those routes!
Well, I looked around a bit, and I am not the only one.
From this moment on my productin of rollingstock will come to an halt for TS, and I am currently uninstalling it.
Good luck my friends, with trying to use this broken software.

Well you're not the only one - but it's not common either, I guess. So perhaps still something that went wrong with your installation?
Although broken PZB has plagued TS for a long time already, and there are many different PZB implementations in TS, some more broken than others, not all compatible, and only a few that are working...

As for the route I am most certain that the magnets are not where they used to be, and they sure are not where they SHOULD be either.
I ran the same scenario five times in a row and tryed diferent things, I even tryed to run it pressing page-down throu the entire scenario.
And the results were always the same, so somthing is missing or broken.
With that said, the problem is not there at all the distance-signals, just some.
I think you should probably file a support request with DTG to notify them of incorrect signal magnets. There's some other mistakes in the route as well so hopefully they can fix these problems.

Don't think so. Check your Sherman Hill files and see if they have dates on them when you updated. As I have purchased TS2016 Steam Edition which updates Sherman I cannot tell you.
