Re: Steam Refunds.
Problem because the Epic Journeys is a stand alone product and includes those items. In theory they would just be duplicates of what is linked to your Steam account as individual items so choosing to remove them should only remove those duplicates. As Rich has suggested though, it'd be prudent to check with Steam themselves.
Re: Steam Refunds.
Is it me or is it a coincidence that they've not released the DB BR 120 this week as one would of expected given that it had it's Twitch preview last week and it normally follows that it's then the following Thursdays release?

Re: Steam Refunds.
As far as I saw it I had nothing to lose so I went for it
Get a refund of £19.99 and lose TS2015 and London - Faversham. I could re-aquire those for less than half the refund around the web and with the sales on the horizon.
or don't get a refund and everything is as before.
Anyway. My refund was rejected because it counted my hours playing TS2015 (currently at over 3500 hours) not my hours playing the package itself (less than 1 hour)

For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it

Interesting. It's supposed to be hours since DLC was acquired. Perhaps the waters are muddied in the case of Epic Journeys.pjt1974 wrote:As far as I saw it I had nothing to lose so I went for it

Yep! Also means you cant use the game at all, until a decision is made! My decision took four days...Trev123 wrote:So if you play TS for a week then decide to run the DLC you purchased a week a go and it doesn't work you won't get a refund.

Re: Steam Refunds.
I'm sorry but I just don't see the connection. As a client of Steam and Valve, Dovetail Games would've been notified of the refund policy weeks ago, it wouldn't just be thrust upon them. Contracts and terms would probably have to be agreed before Dovetail Games releases were included in the refund policy.37114 wrote:The new refund policy.pjt1974 wrote:What is it a coincidence with?37114 wrote:Is it me or is it a coincidence that they've not released the DB BR 120 this week as one would of expected given that it had it's Twitch preview last week and it normally follows that it's then the following Thursdays release?
If the DB BR120 was so bad, Dovetail had plenty of time to decide hold back the Advanced Preview stream.
In any case, the official previews on Twitch have only been going on for a matter of weeks, you can hardly say that the schedule of preview to release a week later was set in stone. They are still playing around with what's best for the official stream on Twitch to see what works best. This week it was on at 5pm UK time and not 8:30pm as before, is that a conspiracy or a coincidence or are they just learning when is the best time to maximize exposure and create hunger for their product?

The decision on my refund took 2 hours, rather ironic.dan5324 wrote:Yep! Also means you cant use the game at all, until a decision is made! I wasn't too bothered about which way my one went, I was just trying my luck to see what would happen because I'm not the biggest fan of US railways. But now the decision has come back negative, I got a nice German route as part of the package cheaper than it's own list price plus the Soldier Summit if I ever do get into US railways. The morale of the story does seem to be though, if you buy DLC, give it a try a soon as you can otherwise you'll forfeit any chance of a refund.
