Thank you Stuart, I now have the route (5mins ago)
At first trying to find that stretch of track I was looking at videos on YouTube and got completely confused by videos on the Shildon Rail 150 Cavalcade 1975,, and the Rainhill Rocket 150 Cavalcade in 1980.
I was at the Shildon one but could not find the power station (googoo maps) that everyone ended up at after the event.
Oh this route looks Sooo good, Thanks Derek et all. NO AWS - hurrah can look at the scenery and not get stopped.
BTW if you want to Run your 9F etc you could always recreate the Cavalcade !

Since going back to 2014, It has always been a concern that my hand would be forced by some "must have " 2015 content & I guess I am now at that crossroads.[/quote]

Hi Sillo,
Why don't you keep a working copy of TS 2014 (I have) and also upgrade to TS 2015 then you've got the best of both worlds.
I also think that some of the routes work better on 2014, but any new material is written to run on 2015, I have also tried to get some of the new routes to run on 2014 with some success but I don't think its worth all the trouble, I just want to play the game which is what I have purchased it for.

Regards.
Pete.

Hi,

Ideas for scenarios.

The Wolsingham Iron and Steel Company was owned by Doxfords in Sunderland who built ships and marine engines. This steel works produced a wide variety of goods for Doxfords which all went by rail. Some via Croft Yard at Darlington and on other occasions by a full train load to Sunderland South Dock from which it was tripped to Pallion. These services ran during the 60s using diesel power as well as during the steam period for this network.

The Crook/bishop Auckland area had a lot of mines and the third Saturday in July was Durham Miners gala day.It was the one day in the year that many closed or freight only stations saw some passenger activity with a constant series of trains heading to Durham packed with miners and families, the Lodge Banner as well as the local brass band. For services on that day many had a full brake inserted into the middle of the set in order to take the banner and band instruments. These services ran in addition to the regular services and it was not uncommon for delays and congestion at Durham. These services ran until the mid 60s or until the colliery closed and covered both periods. Most specials had finished by 1030 but then resumed in the other direction from 1500hrs until late at night.

Most mineral traffic headed to Teesside however ,depending on the coal quality ,some trains ran via Durham to Tyneside. You could find full coal loads going in the opposite direction too..The coke trains heading across the Stainmore line featured the 20t hopper with wooden extension sides for this traffic. This traffic came through from all directions converging at Barnard Castle for the cross Pennine journey.

Hi,

Just bought this route and I like it very much. I bought the twin pack which included the Class 105 and have run one scenario so far and I'm well impressed with it. Like the old rolling stock it comes with, it makes it very atmospheric and I think this is money well spent. Definitely one to buy.

A cracking route with lots of detail and atmosphere. All we need now is the AP sound pack to be updated to include the 101 on here and also the 105.

I have two little problems with the Class 25:
- the second horn tone ( key B) don't works
- the AWS bell and horn don't works when using them on a route with AWS equipment.
Is it a problem with my installation?

It doesn't have a 2 tone horn so the button isn't inoperative, but you're half right about the AWS---you get a very short 'ding' when approaching a clear signal, but no sound when approaching a cautionary one. The .dav files, or at least files with the right names, are included but I haven't had chance to have a *proper* look.

EDIT---ignore the above, there are sound files for both high and low horn tones so the button might be naff.

If I remember correctly, when the model was published by the former developer, the sound files were arranged a little different to your normal models. I had all sorts of issues with the former publishers sound files. Maybe it's a hangover from that
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

I was building a route centered on Consett with the Iron Works (CIC) as the focal point - but not anymore!. Now I`m making best possible use of this impressive route and praying that someone will be extending the Lanchester Valley Branch from Relly (a superb piece of work) and also from Crook to Tow Law, over the high moors, and on to the junction with the Lanchester line. This will include Rowley Station (now preserved at Beamish Museum) and the historic Howns Gill Viaduct (still standing).
With gratefull thanks to all involved.
Amen
