What like - most peoples TS2015 runs ok - mine does.
And the comment This content requires the base game Train Simulator 2015 on Steam in order to play. on Steam does mean something.

Most of the initial problems with TS2015 are now straightened out. Remaining is the "white hills" problem, patch for which will be released within a couple of weeks or so.
The menus have become quite usable already by now.

Cheers,

Just as it did on the WHLE....and it meant something until somebody got that running under TS2014 :o

Nothings impossible until you've proven it yourself I guess, but you have to ask "is it worth the bother?", now that many of the niggles with 2015 have been dealt with---many which were probably due to the fact that 'acceptance of change is inversely proportional to the rate (or scope) of change.'

I suspect it may be the new weather option & guess it comes as no surprise as it's the first route I have purchased that was created since the new weather system but it would be nice to confirm with another 2014 user.

What an absolutely fantastic route/network and in an era that I was fortunate enough to work in for a couple of years, although in a far-a-way land.
I do so look forward to the "old clankers that have been spoken about from those providers of the best in Steam Locos.

I doubt if the only DTG heavy freight loco the O2 2-8-0 loco would be seen on the route as they were Great Central Loco's,that is really good news from both Digital Traction and Victory are going to make some suitable steam locomotives for this route,

With out those 2 companies we would really be stuck for steam loco's,and I mustn't forget SSS, I believe they are making a J class loco for their up coming Stainmore route, all we now need is a BR STD 3MT,they would be useful for both Stainmore and Weardale and Teesdale Routes,

I haven't forgotten Just Trains but non of their steam loco's are really suitable for Weardale and Teesdale,

Mike
I note that Just Trains have an LNER K4 in production, would that have ever been in this area?

I don’t think the K4’s were ever seen in the area in LNER/BR service. However, preserved K4 3442 The Great Marquess came to St. Johns’ Chapel on the Wearhead branch on 10th April 1965 with a RCTS special from Leeds: http://www.railbrit.co.uk/locationnew.p ... n-Weardale

Yeah, I think it was an incline railway that went to West Auckland, it got lifted in the 1880s IIRC. There was another Incline railway that went North out of West Auckland as well, apparently (from what I could tell) for another of the mines in the area.

One question, does it include the length of track used for the Rail 150 Cavalcade ?
Thanks
John
I think that was at Shildon wasnt it? Apparently there was a Carriageworks there at the time, which isnt there in the time period modelled (I guess they built it after they closed the freight yard). But the track where it all occured is there, it would appear to be the mainline and the branchline that went to West Auckland as mentioned above.

Since going back to 2014, It has always been a concern that my hand would be forced by some "must have " 2015 content & I guess I am now at that crossroads. The next decision is whether to start afresh with a clean install or upgrade the existing installation. There are some technical hurdles to overcome if I take the latter path but I will start a new thread for advice should I take that direction.

I'd go for a clean install, that way you don't have to lose your existing TS2014 install. It also serves as a pretty handy backup of your assets and routes!

Hi all
Have to say I am one of many that is really enjoying this route, a big thank you to all that was involved. My grandfather was born in Bernard castle in 1837 and him and my great grandfather were carriage painters at Doncaster works. Once again a big thank you to all that were involved
