They all stop for a while at Shildon to 'Change Loads' whatever that means.
Judging by its size and position, I would guess that Shildon was a remarshalling point with through goods trains stopping to attach wagons for their forward destinations and to drop off traffic for other routes. Plenty of scenario potential there.

Yes that would make sense. Probably operated a lot of trip workings from there I suspect.

I usually wait for a DTG sale to buy new stuff but I think this one deserves paying full price.

Bought the route, didn't think it would be out yet since Derek made his last changes only last weekend!

Can't wait to get home and try the route tonight.

I'm hoping that the locos (37 in particular) will have updated physics though - it was really tedious getting stuck in a field divert hole slogging a 37 up Woodhead.

ISTR there's a major freeware physics patch for the (a) 101 - is it likely to work on this one?
The problem with field divert holes can't be circumvented as it is an issue with how the game is coded to deal with diesel/electric simulation. Pretty sure if you could work around it then it would have been done by now by the likes of AP etc
It's quite easy to fix (assuming the loco is essentially 'new' and not a direct copy-paste of the Kuju one) by not having field diverts! ;-)

Anyway, added to my wishlist while I peruse the manual :D

Twin Pack. DONE.

Never thought I'd be so geeky as to jump immediately on a new full price route!

And before anyone posts to say they can't ind it in the Assets folder, it is under DTG\RSderek\WearValleyRailway
(But I'll bet someone still posts the question!!)

What is it about DTG when they release a new route they cannot give you a MAP or information about the line?

The manual for the Weardale and Teesdale Rail Network has HALF of One Page about the route and 15 pages of stuff about traction and scenarios.

Ok for a route that is set in recent times as there are ways of finding out but how do you know what has been modelled in this route ?
I can see from the pictures on the store page it has Durham, Darlington and North Road - but I presume it's not the ECML between these places?

2/10 :( :x
