I had a Morris Marina 1800 for years. Drove it all over the country, no problems.
Anyway in this route you might find a missing turntable at Exeter plus a few other milk bottles

It still won't show if you just extract WSR .ap folder.
I had to make a new folder..
RSC\WestSomerset\WestSomersetAssets
..and copied/ extracted Lights and Railnetwork to that folder from the WestSomersetAssets.ap. There are a couple other minor items that could go in there.

If you're having to extract .ap archives into a NEW, and incorrect, folder then that's a fault propagated from the route builders incorrect extraction. This should be rectified at source, as quickly as possible.

Exactly. There should be no need to extract the Riviera and WSR.ap. However a few items like the turntable are incorrectly pathed and are shown in the RW-Tools as missing.

Strange I haven't created a new folder, but RW tools doesn't show anything missing. Will take a look when I get a chance.

That's the point. I refer back to my earlier post May 16:
chrisonline wrote:A lot of the unpacked assets aren't needed, so I have culled down the duplicates leaving only those required. But I do think this structure is incorrect "protocol", isn't it?

It's nothing to do with UNPACKING the .ap file. The route has actually duplicated the required assets into a new folder WITHIN the Riviera Line and West Somerset folder.

The locations are:

Assets\RSC\RivieraLine\RivieraLineAssets\ xxx

Assets\RSC\WestSomerset\WestSomersetAssets\ xxx

Read that twice, because your eyes and brain coordination may not interpret it correctly! . . . the actual assets need to be inside ANOTHER folder named RivieraLineAssets and WestSomersetAssets. Those assets are never going to be picked up by the Route unless you create a new folder and copy (duplicate) the required assets.

(the same happened with Hawksassets from UKTS 31994 as reference by Richard Fletcher above)
Once the problem is recognized it's not too difficult to fix (excepting that it duplicates a lot of files). Fixing it in the original might be tricky, because there are a lot of assets to "relocate" . . could create more problems than are solved?

Is it the Lights and Railnetwork folders that need extracting from the Riviera Line Assets and placed in a folder named RivieraLineAssets, as is the case with the West Somerset stuff?

As atlasduff47 said Mk3 Cortina GXL, ideally like the one I had in Daytona Yellow...... or a Roman Bronze one like a certain Manchester detective drove in Life on Mars, before he went 'poncified' and got a Quattro.........

Also the Audio folder for RivieraLine. Not by any means all of the files, if you check the route with RW_Tools it will tell you exactly what it needs. WestSomerset has files from RailNetwork, Lights, and Scenery

Triumph Herald, my first sweet car. Snoopy. Hey, I was an impoverished student, and he served me well.

So far all that I have spotted missing is a row of milk bottles from Dawlish up past Dawlish Warren running close to the track. When I use RW Tools to see what is missing I get a list of items longer than my arm but when I look at what the "missing" items are in the list they are present in the route when driving it and not missing at all.

When installing the route it threw up no errors at all.

If the .ap archives have been extracted incorrectly you'd only need the asset's .bin files in the wrong place. An unedited .bin will point back to the proper location for the .Geo etc.
Rather than replicate the error you'd be better served by using RW Tools to swap those erroneous .bin files with the ones in the correct directory.

Alicatt
If the milk bottles are on the left of Dawlish to Dawlish Warren track then they are probably telegraph poles.

The only milk bottles I see are in the tunnels probably from the Riviera Audio folder in RivieraLineAssets but I'm not making a separate folder for that.
Hopefully this will be sorted soon anyway.

Clemmo, the Riviera Audio files are only in the Audio\Ambient\Area folder - that's only 3 MB, so not a big deal in terms of space.

Mike...off topic answer-----yes. You may have to tweak settings to let TS use enough resources though.
