Now who can make the things
I understand Fastline Simulations have some WIP,
We do indeed and I've just recently finished unwrapping and baking them.

Some WIP renders here: http://www.fastline-simulation.co.uk/in ... -car-flats
Well can i just say thats bloody fantastic hope to have some quality 70s cars to go on them for the 70s era version when it comes out :D

I cannot download Yelland's UKTS 34089 because it doesn't exist - has it been pulled in the last few hours??? Am I correct to assume this is to blame for my floating signals? What can I do about it without UKTS 34089?
The problem you have will be unrelated to UKTS 34089. The signal posts on some models will not display unless the graphic settings are turned to a high level. This route, while being excellent, is graphically very demanding and all systems will not be able to run the route at the highest graphical setting. Somewhat curiously I have discovered that I cannot run the supplied steam scenarios above 'medium' level though I can run a diesel scenraio, downloaded today, at the highest level with no issues whatsoever.

On medium level some of the signal posts were not showing as expected.

No, I have all scenery settings on Max, 10, so that's not the issue

You are correct that John Yelland's ukts file 34809 cannot be found in the downloads, it does appear to have been removed very recently. I emailed Johnny about this issue as I believe he still thinks it's in the downloads.

The floating signals require Anthony Brailsford's (ALGB in the assets folder) Complete LNWR signal kit. That's "UKTS_31866_LNWR_Signals mentioned in the manual. Its called the Big_Triple_Bracket.

The route is very demanding graphics-wise. During testing it was found that if the video settings had been lowered from "Very High" to "High" some signal post may vanish. It was also found that on some computers that were running in the "High" setting that if the detail sliders were pushed to the right the signal post would return yet the far distant scenery would vanish unnoticeably in a mist and barely affect the operation and scenery of the route.

I have not pulled 3409 from the files, I have merely loaded the correct file, and as a result the file is in "awaiting approval" mode.

This has nothing to do with floating gantry signals. The missing gantries are not from my signal kit, if it's any consolation I had the same trouble until I installed the ALG LNWR signal kit.

Looks like it will be Monday then John before the file is approved as i dont think the admin guys work weekends.Pretty sure if you alter any of the uploaded files they have to be re-approved.

Thanks Newbouy

Thanks for everyone's help. I did have the LNWR signals installed but it must have been a duff download, as when I checked the folder, there was an xml file for the big_triple but no bin file. A fresh download resolved it :)

Gents, a .ap archive shouldn't need unpacking for the game to recognise the contents; RW Tools, yes, but not TS.
If assets don't display with lower than 'highest' in-game graphical settings look at the settings of the assets in question: set the detail level of one to 10 and see if it then behaves as it should.

Steady on, I have a Talbot Horizon and Austin Princess outside still going strong, have never broken down and start first time in all weathers. Unlike my neighbours modern which costs £60 to plug into a laptop everytime a light comes on on its dashboard, often as a result of "failing to proceed".

No only that but in heavy snow I'm often one of the few who can get up the steep hill out of my street due to the big fat tyres these modern cars have!

This route looks lovely and I have been excitedly waiting for it, I haven't yet purchased the Creative Rail routes so I guess that is now something I should put right.

There is a MK1 Ford Escort up for grabs in the vehicle pack on the Spanish website, I'm surprised you guys haven't already got these vehicles.

My only question is I personally consider the yachts and motorboats to be a bit too modern, apart from the Italian pack of Yachts, and all of Captain Bazza's offerings, does anyone know of any other old sailing vessels that would be more suitable to this 1960s route, please?

Apart from that, this is a quite brilliantly updated route, whomever has done it needs to stand up and take the plaudits.

Cheerz. Transport Steve.
