Re: Mosel route on pre-order!
Why is the download version more expensive than the boxed version?
I guess there'll be postage charges on the boxed version but even so -
no DVD to make, no box to print / assemble, no instruction leaflet (maybe) to print.
I thought downloads were supposed to be cheaper?

The first scenario I tried ' IC 132 to Trier' ...won't load 'many driver failures'.
RW-Tools shows all stock available.

Re: Mosel route on pre-order!
It's charged at UK VAT(20%) but the box is DE VAT(19%), it still works out cheaper than DTG routes at £22.56davep wrote:Why is the download version more expensive than the boxed version?

Re: Mosel route on pre-order!
For me the difference is minimal, 46 euro-cents.davep wrote:Why is the download version more expensive than the boxed version?

The difference is in 19% VAT on the boxed version, and 21% VAT on the download version. The base price for both versions is 25.20€.
Weird, uh?
Ready to check out and will play hopefully this weekend!

PS: I guess the reason for delay on the boxed version is to get issues fixed with the initial release before burning DVD's, such as the one just posted by Clemmo

Re: Mosel route on pre-order!
Downloading now, used the usa mirror, 12 minutes to download it.
Looking forward to this. Watched a vid on youtube with a run from Luxembourg to Trier (yes I know this is Trier to Koblenz), thing that puzzled me was the use of BR628's on an electrified line?
If your interested?

I believe they are now operated by CFL Stadler KISS trains. But I don't know why a 628 was operating theresmarty2 wrote:Downloading now, used the usa mirror, 12 minutes to download it.Looking forward to this. Re: Mosel route on pre-order!
The reason for BR628 units operating the line is because Luxembourg is, mostly, 25Kv AC and the French design Double Deck Emus cannot work in to Germany.
Same reason the IC Service from Koblenz via Trier to Luxembourg was worked by BR181.2 electrics.
Some of the CFL Luxembourg 4000 series, (BR185), work thru to Trier & Koblenz on Double Deck Push Pull services.

Re: Mosel route on pre-order!
Having traveled between Luxembourg and Trier myself, I would love to have this line in RailWorks!
Actually, the whole Luxembourg railway network would be just fine for me

Any quick review of the route anyone please?
I see some already have problems with one of the scenarios...

Re: Mosel route on pre-order!
Thanks for the info, interesting stuff.
Well, first impressions are very favourable, I ran the first scenario "morning train" into Bullay then off the mainline on the branch to Traben Trarbach, extremely well implemented SE, and very atmospheric, the 628 is very nice to drive and the sounds spot on. Off to try some more!
No problem with the first scenario, loaded up without problem.
