Don't forget Peter and Peter!! :)

The whole aim of this wee project was to address the grass roots (I really did want to write 'routes' there, but this is supposed to be serious) issue of the track rules; hopefully we've accomplished that which will make further work on the route much easier.

Yes, and we set out not to make changes/improvements just because we viewed them as 'good', but also to work within (as far as possible) David's original work---which far outshines any wee tweaks we've added.

Many thanks for this upload.
Couple of things noticed after install of the Euston Fix to a fresh and unaltered copy of Davids WCMLLM route
Lines ABCD & X are broken, also a third rail has gone walkabout at the end of P10
Can be easily fixed by experienced users in the editor but many casual players wont be confident messing in there.

 Apologies Peter, and of course Peter, thanks to all involved for all their work, this is a great route and the tweaks have brought welcomed improvements.

Sorry guys, looks like I uploaded the wrong .zip archive

Bongo, those issues are resolved in the *proper* version, which is now waiting approval.
Incidentally, the breaks in the lines up Camden Bank were intentionally put in to *break* connections with track further north, to prevent editing on the bank from affecting further sections.

Once again, apologies if you've downloaded and found you've got a load of rubbish.

No rubbish encountered here Gary, keep up the good work. I had previously noticed when I've edited my altered version of the route that adjusting track heights etc on Camden Bank causes all kinds of problems further up around Primrose Hill with track flying off into mid-air for miles

Installed the amended patch and wow, trackwork around Euston now looks fab. Many thanks for this, now if you could just sort out the fast up track through Primrose Hill Tunnel as it's not possible to route through that into Euston (unable to pass blockage) then we'd be all set to have some great scenarios :D

You have a private message :)

I'm glad the *proper* version of the patch works, once again sorry for messing up--somebody else may have tried to make lame excuses about being rushed because they were shortly setting off for work to do a hard night shift, or some other rubbish like that, but not me, oh no...... never... honest...

Many thanks for these updates , Euston looks great and the rest of the route looks so much better without the point levers :D

So what is causing the problem with the up fast through the tunnel and is it something that can be easily fixed ?

Thanks for the pm Gary. Here's what I have with Primrose Hill Fast Up after following your advice.
Track is - BML Track Clean Tunnel
Trackrule - 0_WCML_TS2012
Full length of tunnel highlighted using track select tool and applied settings of 55, Main Line, Both and Overhead Wires.
In the editor I can successfully route my train through to Euston from Wembley Central using waypoints via Camden Junction Up Fast Primary and Camden Bank Line D into P13 to complete a trial scenario.
Hope this helps confirm the fix seems to work :)

Well, yes--it confirms checking the track properties works but that's not the new track rule :o
The aim was to get rid of the multitude of track rules, and just use one to simplify things, but the main thing is that the blockage has gone. Should we rename the track rule to 'Domestos' ? :D
skoda wrote: So what is causing the problem with the up fast through the tunnel
I've no idea for certain, but I'm leaning towards it being a mis-match of properties. There were sections with no speeds applied, at least one section set as 3rd rail and a couple of track rules applied. These really shouldn't have made such a difference, maybe singly they wouldn't have, but cleaning the tunnel up would definitely seem to be the answer.

Whoops, don't know how that happened. Anyway tried it again using tunnel track with your WCML-London Midlands trackrule and still success.

Good...that at least shows the new rule doesn't break anything...yet :-?

I'm sure that a lot, if not most, of the wee niggles along the route can be *fixed* by checking track properties and of course editing where needed, so it doesn't really matter which rule is in force--it's when multiple rules are used over a problematical section that it gets 'interesting'

Hopefully a small patch for the tunnel can be done to save casual players having to play around in the editor, not confident enough to do that myself but just to show it works here's a screenie
