Nobody can say whether it does or doesn't without seeing what you're supposed to replace the blank sections with Trav.....Traveller54 wrote:[
For anyone with the problem of 'missing' track textures when in the editor this will fix it?!.....etc
but it's possibly a pointless exercise as the Hagen-Seigen rules don't apply in this new version.
Also, bear in mind that no amount of track rule or Tracks.bin editing will have any effect on track that isn't linked to that particular track rule; as is the case with much of the track at Euston. Fortunately a few missing textures for the track properties isn't a game breaker, and something that's instantly resolved by linking those track sections to an appropriate track rule.

Re: WCML London and Midlands
Well Gary all I can say is it works for me? I have even managed to remove the point levers too! There are also some speed signs at Euston that read Zero - they now read 25 for me.gptech wrote:Nobody can say whether it does or doesn't without seeing what you're supposed to replace the blank sections with Trav.....Traveller54 wrote:[

NB. Just so as people know I have been working on the tracks.bin provided with the latest version.
I can't work out what you mean "what you're supposed to replace the blank sections with" as it is pretty clear to me that it is 'photons66' & 'WCML'. As far as the rules go they are the ones in Photons66 folder provided with the latest version?
But of course this is all irrelevant unless the next version is amended accordingly

I took the inclusion of the '?' quite literally as you asking whether it would or not, but It's pretty clear to me that:Traveller54 wrote:I can't work out what you mean "what you're supposed to replace the blank sections with" as it is pretty clear to me that it is 'photons66' & 'WCML'
doesn't mention photons or WCML...........Traveller54 wrote:For anyone with the problem of 'missing' track textures when in the editor this will fix it?!
1) Ensure that in your assets folder you have these files:-railworks\Assets\photons66\WCML\RailNetwork\TrackRules - Sieg_Hage_Main_MPH.bin & Sieg_Hage_Yard.MPH.bin
2)Navigate to:-railworks\Content\Routes\4f0e07aa-7775-4009-96df-5dfdeb588ba1\Networks... and open the Tracks.bin in RW_Tools.Click on 'Search and Replace' then 'Find' and in the top paste this text below:Code: Select all
<Property> <Network-iTrackNetworkTrackRule-cPropertyValue> <TrackRule> <iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID> <BlueprintSetID> <iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID> <Provider d:type="cDeltaString"></Provider> <Product d:type="cDeltaString"></Product> </iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID> </BlueprintSetID> <BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString"></BlueprintID> </iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID> </TrackRule> </Network-iTrackNetworkTrackRule-cPropertyValue> </Property>
I'm not doubting that it works for you, but it'd help folk a bit more if they could see what to alter- and lets be honest, given some better instructions- then they could give it a whirl.
As you've brought up the subject of speeds at Euston--you've done the legwork and checked where they're applied so could you post a screen shot showing where, and from what speed down to 25mph?

Re: WCML London and Midlands
What a screw up on my part!! I did 'COPY & PASTE' from a text file and it looks like the second par (photons66) did get pasted; I didn't check. Apologies all round!gptech wrote:
Here is the complete version:-
Job done!1) Ensure that in your assets folder you have these files:-
railworks\Assets\photons66\WCML\RailNetwork\TrackRules - Sieg_Hage_Main_MPH.bin & Sieg_Hage_Yard.MPH.bin
2)Navigate to:-
railworks\Content\Routes\4f0e07aa-7775-4009-96df-5dfdeb588ba1\Networks
... and open the Tracks.bin in RW_Tools.
Click on 'Search and Replace' then 'Find' and in the top paste this text below:-
<Property>
<Network-iTrackNetworkTrackRule-cPropertyValue>
<TrackRule>
<iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
<BlueprintSetID>
<iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
<Provider d:type="cDeltaString"></Provider>
<Product d:type="cDeltaString"></Product>
</iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
</BlueprintSetID>
<BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString"></BlueprintID>
</iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
</TrackRule>
</Network-iTrackNetworkTrackRule-cPropertyValue>
</Property>
... now in the bottom box paste this text below:-
<Property>
<Network-iTrackNetworkTrackRule-cPropertyValue>
<TrackRule>
<iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
<BlueprintSetID>
<iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
<Provider d:type="cDeltaString">photons66</Provider>
<Product d:type="cDeltaString">WCML</Product>
</iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
</BlueprintSetID>
<BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">RailNetwork\TrackRules\Sieg_Hage_Yard_MPH.xml</BlueprintID>
</iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
</TrackRule>
</Network-iTrackNetworkTrackRule-cPropertyValue>
</Property>
Now click on 'Replace All' and let RW_Tools complete the task then Exit.
Now click on Files and then 'Save TS2015 File' (or use CTRL+S)
A back-up of the orginal Tracks.bin will be saved by RW_Tools just in case!
-----
HOWEVER, I have had a look at Euton again and some platforms have a different track rule applied (0_WCML_default by keithmross) with speeds of 125/110. Problem is that I cannot manually change them and, strangely, they do not appear in the tracks.bin. I am giving up on this now and leaving it to the provider for the next version!
Here is a view from the end of P12 ahoqing the speed signs and al the parts of the track which were showing 'missing' with no speed set - these are now 25:-

Nothing that all of us haven't done mate, if we all "had a pound for every time" etcTraveller54 wrote:What a screw up on my part!! I did 'COPY & PASTE' from a text file.......
Yeah, Euston is a bit 'messy', but it dates from over 2 years ago and quite a few revisions so it's understandable, and hopefully forgivable!Traveller54 wrote:and some platforms have a different track rule applied
Re: WCML London and Midlands
If I find the time I may see if I can work my magic in Euston with the trackwork etc again

Re: WCML London and Midlands
This kind of thing do you?

Work's getting in the way a bit, and I've only done 3 platforms worth, and no further out than the platform ends but as a 'proof of concept' of the standardised track rule idea I'd say it holds water.
No missing textures in the editor either

Looks great but is anybody else getting a railworks freeze and then CTD heading north just past Harrow and Whealsdon and south just out of Birmingham International?
Going to try to find log files and identify a culprit.
Could just be my system!

Re: WCML London and Midlands
Having a play about with the route, fantastic!
Slight issue though, when trying to route a service in the Rugby area that has come from Coventry, doesn't seem possible to run via P4. The crossover is there and I've tried to change the directionality of the track in the scenario editor but nothing is working.

A patch for Euston has just been uploaded, many thanks to photons66 for encouragement and approval; to peterat49 for the work on the point levers and to 749006 for invaluable information.

Thank you Gary for 'supervising' this effort and the 2 Peters and everyone else who chipped in, we didn't want David's (photons66) route to not get played on after all of his sterling work.
