Can you see it in the editor ?

Alex
Hi Alex, yes it does happen in every scenario that i have tried, plus in the editor

But if i turn the camera 180 degrees in the same spot, the anomoly disappears, so it basically only shows when looking north towards Rugby station

Cheers
Terrone.
I see you have reported some graphics anomaly's on pages 54,55 & 59. Did you ever resolve these ?

I'm wondering if this could be caused by the same, or a similar problem.

If you continue towards Rugby station, at what point do things return to "normal" ?
Do you have any issues traveling south through this area ?

I don't think it will be anything to do with your settings.
I'd have money on it being caused by a corrrupt/missing texture file.
I assume you have run it through RWTools and there's nothing missing ?

Hi Alex. I managed to get rid of the anomaly at Lawley Street FLT, I went into the editor and somehow managed to click on the glitch and delete it, job done. However the one at Daventry remains, everytime I get near it, the sim locks up, so pass on that one.

As for Rugby, as the train climbs out of the dive-under, it also climbs out of the blackness, it doesn't affect the running of any scenario, it's like a jet black mist!

Cheers

Hi. I have ran the route through RW_Tools, and i have a few missing textures, mainly some WCML2 vehicle textures that are probably being hidden in the APfile, but the one that is standing out to me is this:

Steam\SteamApps\Common\Railworks\Assets\UKTS_FP\Blocks_and_Lofts\PJT\scenery\procedural\textures\invisible.TgPcDx

The thing is, i don't have a 'procedural' folder inside the 'scenery' folder, only a 'blocks' folder, and even after re-installing the Blocks and Lofts FP (which is up to date), this folder structure doesn't exist for me.

I hope that makes sense to somebody! :o

Cheers
Terrone.

Try turning your scenery quality down to one above off, that cured crashing for me on this route.

It seems a little odd that you don't have a 'procedural' folder where it should be or the correct directory structure ?
"invisible.TgPcDx" is called for by some of PJT's Geo' files, but is indeed missing from the Texture folder ! The only place i found it was in DS's Texture folder :-?
In any case, I think we can rule out UKTS Freeware packs. There is no scenery from any of these packs that is (in my opinion) close enough to that area to have any affect.
Have you tried to delete the "anomaly" in the same way as you have in the past ?
Sorry I can't be of any more help :(

The correct directory structure is:

..\Assets\UKTS_FP\Blocks_and_Lofts\PJT\Procedural

in other words, the procedural folder doesn't live inside the 'scenery' folder

Easy way to check is to open a bin file in that Procedural folder and check the path for the XSec file, you should see something like:

Code: Select all

				<cSectionRenderBlueprint>
					<CrossSectionID d:type="cDeltaString">UKTS_FP\Blocks_and_Lofts\PJT\Procedural\FP_PJT_Pavement</CrossSectionID>
(Taken from a backup copy of the pack that's never been edited in any way)

Agreed, there is no "scenery" folder where RWTools says there should be.
But "invisible.TgPcDx" is Called by FP_PJT_Sloping_Canopy_3.GeoPcDx in that location.
Can we assume this is an error in the Geo file ?
RWTool will only report on the information it recieves.
I knew you'd have an easy to understand answer, (GPTech, the .bin file Guru)

It's all a bit odd (to me at least!). I have tried to click on it and delete, but to no avail Alex. I suppose that I will just have to live with it, like I say it does not crash the sim, it's like it's just part of the scenery!

Now I need to try and sort Daventry Terminal out, that ones a bit of a biggie!

Rather than it being an error in the .Geo, it's likely that it's an error introduced when the asset was edited to fit the Freepack structure.

I would just like to say a BIG thank you to Photon66, Alex55 and everyone else involved in making this scenery available.
I had resisted getting it because of the amount of 3rd party required but over this weekend succumbed and got it all downloaded and installed.
I would urge anyone interested in UK Mainlines to have a go, if a “novice” like me can sort it I’m sure anyone can.

One of the compelling reasons for downloading it, was the large amount of very detailed 3rd & 4th rail, as such, I’ve had great fun doing trips from Euston to Watford and back (The old Bakerloo Line) very convincing.
Once again thank you everyone.
Cheers John

A question regarding the signal failures.
Do you have Just Trains SECML installed ?
If not, I think that may be causing the problem for you.
It runs OK for me. But If I remove SECML I get some signal failures (as you advised)
I think it's down to missing platform "OFF" repeaters from SECAM. If missing, they show up as signals on the HUD and may be adversely affecting other signals ?
There are a few AWS ramps from SECML which may also be causing some problems ?

No I don't, that'll be why then!!

Thanks alex55, I only put the message up in case, wording it as if you do see any, just pass it at danger, if not then assume NR have fixed the problem
