Are you able to tell me, if the new older-type EMU 4-car set recently available, has any scenarios that are able to be used with it ? I just purchased it last night, and wound like to know if I am able to use it on a British electric route ? If not, I'll set out to make a couple of my own. But I need to know what do I need to tick in the box that slides out, in order for the electric cars to show up in the game ? Thanks for any help with this !
Regards...

It has career scenarios for South London Network I believe. I don't own either for the record.

Hi Jim,
Realisticaly as they are 3rd rail units, they would be seen on Faversham and London South Eastern, and also on London Brighton and Portsmouth Direct.
They would not be seen on any other routes, like GEML ECML WCMLN or WCML Over Shap

Re: How about you... ?
Good day to you Jim, for the EPB to show up in your game, you need to go into your DTG folder and tick the Class415Pack01 box, it is one of those .ap packs, so, if there are any repaints in the future you'll have to extract the folders to put the reskin in.ka959 wrote: But I need to know what do I need to tick in the box that slides out, in order for the electric cars to show up in the game ? Re: How about you... ?
The only file you should need to extract is the relevant .GeoPcDX, duly extracted into a mirror of the folder structure---which is a pretty consistent schema through all DLC: Provider\Product\RailVehicles\Diesel, Steam or Electric\Loco Class\LiveryTransportSteve wrote:if there are any repaints in the future you'll have to extract the folders to put the reskin in.
In certain cases, depending on how the .bin has been edited for a reskin, you may need to also extract the CabView folder.

Yeah, but, don't forget Gary that Jim's had a stroke, let's get back to the old system where we only had folders with all the files available which I'm sure will be easier for him to work with than messing about with .ap packs, these aren't compressed anyway, so, there is no difference in volume within the asset folders, as such, it's just a lot simpler to have everything laid out in front of you, just like it used to be.

Re: How about you... ?
Good point Steve, though by saying there's no difference in volume are you suggesting deleting the .ap after extracting the contents?---that's akin to throwing away all your backups of your important data.
OK, with the size of todays drives (other than SSDs of course) the amount of space the game takes up is largely irrelevant, but in trying to simplify things you could be building in a different complication--is it better to all sing from the same hymn book, particularly as RW Tools will do the extraction as a largely automated process? DTG aren't going to change from the .ap system afterall.
