Re: Laptop Specs

Hang on. Where in my earlier post did I say my opinions are to be forced upon everyone??

I completely agree with msmith - a 'gaming laptop' in my eyes is just a 'deluxe' caption to make it sound much better and sell more - a bit like Alienware. (again in my eyes).

-It's a lot more comfy sitting on a sofa with a laptop than it is sitting at a desk for hours, especially when using a cushion cooling pad for the laptop.
How is this not a valid point? I sit at my desk for hours on end every day and I find it considerably more comfortable than sitting on a sofa looking into a considerably smaller screen.

I hate to mention it again..........................but the original question was not whether a desktop or laptop is better for gaming with, it was a question asking for an opinion on a specific laptop. Unfortunately the thread seems to have degenerated into a highly subjective debate between laptop and desktop users, and their respective merits. To reiterate, and more importantly address the original question posted, the laptop in question will undoubtedly run TS very effectively, the same can be said of many other laptops or indeed desktops

Going back to my original point, of course ultimately you can always fix an overheating problem by setting a framerate limiter (which I would do anyway, tbh) and turning the detail down a little. But it would seem a shame to have hardware with unused potential just because the cooling's inadequate: "Your new locomotive has a 4000 hp engine but you can't drive it above Notch 6 because it overheats."
