Help Please Loading Passengers

I am new to this forum and to TS2015, but I have been having a very difficult time getting started with what should be pretty simple and with getting a career mission completed. Specifically, in the Career Section, on the ECML London - Peterborough route, Mission #8 "In a Hurry".. I continue to "fail" at the first stop (St Neos). I always get a message "Failed to Load Passengers". Here is what I am doing 1. Stopping at the station with 0.00 miles to go. 2. Switching to outside view. 3. Clicking T. 4. Clicking on the "load/unload" button on the panel and the graph begins to move from Left to Right.. (I would think indicating loading Passengers)... And then I get the message saying "failed because didn't load passengers at St Neos. :(

Thanks

Bob

You must stopping a little before (between 0.08 miles and 0.02 miles, for example), but not at 0.00 miles.

Hi Bob and welcome to the Forum,

Also, are you arriving at or before the stated ETA, if you are arriving late you will not get a 'Tick' in the Schedule and receive the message "Failed to Load Passengers".

You only need to push the T to load/unload passengers. Take no notice of the distance indicator at the platform. I usually stop with the front of the train on the end of the green strip. 99% of the time that works. Odd time I have had the red bar not showing up after pressing T but, by moving back a bit then pushing T again, it has worked.

Thanks for the replies. I will try stopping just before the 0.0 mark and hope that works. Also, I might be arriving a bit late, so that might also be the problem. But I am virtually running wide open during the session, so I don't see how I could go much faster... Anyway, will keep trying it.

Just ran that scenario and picked up passengers at all stations. Impossible to keep to the time schedule though. Was about 30 seconds late at the first station and by the time I got to the last station was about 3 mins late. Scored 896. Don't know how some can score 1000 though.

As mentioned, you only need to push the "T" keyboard key. Do NOT then push the "Open door" icon on the drivers panel, because that may well actually then CLOSE the doors !

Good Luck !

Well.. thanks... I did get the passengers to finally load at the first stop, but failed at the the next two. I guess that it is because I am a bit behind schedule/and/or not pulling up all of the way to the end of the platform.... Who know... Very frustrating. But I will keep trying... or perhaps I might just give up on this scenario and try another one. Any recommendations here? Something not to hard, but something that I can possibly have some success with. Although this one was 3 green.. so it should have been simple. Thanks!

Did you read my post above and the one above that. That is how I drive that scenario and have completed it twice but, you are late at every station but I still am able to pick up the passengers. Always stop with the front of the loco at the end of the green line at the end of the station.

Thanks Trev127. Sorry for my late response, but I have been away for a few days. I had read your posts, but perhaps I wasn't paying enough attention to stopping at the correct place. I will give it another try. About how late were you? And should I not focus on being late, but rather stopping as you suggest. Thanks again

Still no luck... tried the scenario about 10 times this afternoon, and not one successful passenger pickup. I stopped at the end of the green line for 5 times.. no luck... . And then I tried what others have posted about stopping .02 to .05 away.. still no luck. And when I get to the end, it says that I failed to make stops. Thanks to everyone who has commented, but I am about to give up.....

Out of interest, I gave this scenario a try.
First up, as per Trev, the timetable was impossible to meet, especially the first couple of stops. I did manage to complete it ok, and scored 929 points.
The stopping points at the stations didn't seem too fussy, anywhere inside the green stopping zone seemed to work for me. I was about 1 min late to the first stop, and about 30secs to 1 min late for the remainder of the stops, but in each case the passengers loaded ok.
To keep close to the timetable, I had to slap the throttle to max (setting of 4) immediately after the passengers had loaded, then keep it as close to the speed limits as possible by regulating the throttle, and using full braking (not emergency) at the latest possible distance to pull up within the green zone. Unfortunately, the timetable seems based on maintaining track speed limits, but this train isn't capable of reaching some of the high speed limits.
I didn't use the "T" key to load passengers, I just used the "load" icon on the F4 HUD, but that shouldn't have mattered.
I guess none of this helps to identify why you can't get the passengers to load, but at least Trev and I can confirm that it "should" work.

Thanks again to everyone for their comments... I think that I will begin to try a few other scenarios... Perhaps I will have better luck on some of them.
