I'm pretty sure you're confused. These are totally stand alone locomotives and DPsimulation have reskins requiring payware content, completely different things.

These locos are NOT available free from DP Simulation.

What is available from DP Simulation, is the VP Class 47 pack which contains reskins done by VP which are for the Kuju variant, including G.J. Churchward, I.K.B. and Sir Daniel Gooch, if you don't have this it is a must!

Sorry Jos, what I mean is that when you place a 47 on the track the loco is already numbered for you, the numbers that DTG have used are from 47601 to 47635 inclusive, however, I'm sure that you can amend the .dcsv file yourself with notepad plus, or, something similar, and alter the number to suit anything that you want, so, you can have any 35 numbers you want that appeared in the Highland Rail range, I haven't got my spotting books to hand, so, I cannot remember exactly which locos were allocated to Inverness off the top of my head, I'm sure you can find out this information off t'internet.
I haven't done this myself personally, I'm sure it can't be too difficult, just remember, as with anything, that you make a back up of the dcsv file, and anything else you amend, before you start dabbling, just in case.....

It really is dsad easy. The .dcsv file is editable with any text editor, though if you have Office installed it may open with Excel(?) when double clicked. Either way, all you'll get is a long list of numbers, each one enclosed in some techie looking mumbo-jumbo you can safely ignore; just make sure you only edit the numbers and not the muumbo-jumbo!!
When you've edited it you could save it under a different name and edit the loco's .bin file to point to the edited version.
I imagine all these files are in a .ap archive, in which case you need to extract the files to be edited, keeping the extracted folder structure the same as that in the archive. No need to make a back up in this case as the original version will still be in the .ap but not read as the game will load the extracted version instead.

Thanks for the information. So the sim will give this loco a random number between 47601 and 47635 then when you drive this loco?

Anyway as far as checking on t'internet I came upon this website with much if not all you want to know about Class 47 individual history and allocations (http://www.class47.co.uk); I mentioned this already in an earlier post in this thread. I discovered another feature though that allows you to search for allocations to a certain depot/shed. Inverness TOPS shedcode is IS and when you select DATA and then DEPOT SEARCH (http://www.class47.co.uk/c47_data_435.php) the site came up with the Cl47 allocations for Inverness, in this case between 1974 and 2000, as per the attached word document. Pretty darn amazing don't you think.
