New Lok from VR
Seems we have another treat in store soon https://www.facebook.com/virtualRailroads > speculation is rife on the German boards, but the majority opinion there favours one of the einheitsloks, although there is some disagreement as to which one it might be.

Re: New Lok from VR
afraid not Mart, it's an e-lok. 110,112,113,115,139,140,141,150 in modern parlance. But nobody is sure which yet, although some have already altered the contrast on the picture to give a better idea.

Re: New Lok from VR
As Holz says a BR110/140 and it's variations seems likely but one with the older cab design like the BR150

No Mike, the light configuration is wrong. I believe the BR181 may appear with the Moesel route currently in production from what I read on the German forums.

The latest picture is a cab shot
https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/ ... 1712_o.png
If I read the picture correctly it has a 28 step tapchanger
EDIT
A quick look at the first picture in a Picture Editor makes me think it's one of the earlier liveried BR110 locos like

it is a BR110 for sure. I think they were originally hoping to bring it before Christmas.

Re: New E10 Lok from VR
It is indeed a BR110, or more precisely in this case an E10 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 126&type=1
Edit: can one of the mods change the thread title to New E10 Lok from VR please. Seems the edit function only changes the title of the latest post. Thanks

Re: New Lok from VR
As requested on Facebook the english translation of the last post:
(did someone have the right wording for "Schleifleiste" ? .. means the two elements on the pantograph that are grinding on the contact wire)
(did someone have the right wording for "Schleifleiste" ? .. means the two elements on the pantograph that are grinding on the contact wire)
Some additional notices about new systems from the E10 for TS2015
TS technical:
- (resumable) first Expert-Line model which is compatibe to the scenario save and resume functions
- Able to show the preselected pantographs for AI directly in the scenario editor after changing it
- Ablity to select the message language (EN or DE) in game by pressing a keyboard shortcut
Tap-changer: certainly a N28h tap-changer system with the right sounds and visible sparks from the engine room thru the left middle window, tap-changer sound even for AI
Brakes:
- Electric brake decoupling is now more prototypical implemented. You need to press a second lever on the brake to decouple it from the train brake lever (only if the train brake lever in first braking position)
- Brake system overcharging ability thru a simulated time reservoir while using the max quick release position of the train brake lever. Too much overcharging brings the brake system to a fault state.
Pantographs: Sparking on the first pickup of the panto in driving direction if you have a run with two pantos rised in winter season. Short sparking when lowering a panto.
At least on the other parts a Expert-Line as usual. The heating wires on the windshields needed to be a bit thicker than normal because of aliasing and flickering. If you don't like them you can switch them off by a key command.

Re: New Lok from VR
Contact strips for the carbon strips, head or pan for whole the strip assembly. Time reservoir should be equalising reservoir or chamber I think. These Loks were originally fitted with the Knorr D2 brake. Similar in principle to the Westinghouse, but a different mechanical arrangement.
Re: New Lok from VR
Thanks a lot for your translation, Maik. Will the E10 be TS2014 compatible or there will be some limitations as with G6?
Re: New Lok from VR
No, this time no backward compatibility with TS2014. You can try it by yourself but i used some techniques that only working in TS2015.
Re: New Lok from VR
Do the coaches provided in the package are similar to these?
