Is it just me or some of the scenarios provided with Somerset and Dorset not able to be completed? I keep having problems with locked red lights preventing me from using the needed track or scenarios ending with derailments (sometimes not my train)?
I know it's an older route, so maybe these scenarios have been broken by upgrades to TS2015.
As examples, two scenarios that are causing problems are "Meat Market" (derailments) and "The Pea Souper" (locked red light just prior to the final station). In the case of The Pea Souper, it seems that I need to wait at the red light for 0755 7F Engine, but it doesn't start at it's designated time of departure (according to the editor). It seems also locked.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I'm having issues with this route that I don't get with others.
I've tried uninstalling the route and re-installing it, but the problems persist.

Re: Somerset and Dorset Scenarios
On the Meat Works scenario I got a AI train derailment message about 2 miles from Shepton Mallet. This route has always been buggy with AI train derailments. I have a couple of JT locos for this route and some of the scenarios that came with them I cannot complete due to AI train derailments. This was from the TS2013 days so nothing to do with TS2015.

I don't think there is anything specidically "buggy" about the route at all and suspect any problems must lie with the scenarios themselves.Trev123 wrote:On the Meat Works scenario I got a AI train derailment message about 2 miles from Shepton Mallet. Any scenario creator will tell you that you can get different results on different computers, even with ostensibly similar specifications so all the testing in the world can't guarantee perfection. Having said that, in my experience AI crashes tend to be caused by the creator placing an AI train too close to a signal. I've found that moving the AI train that does not move away from the signal usually clears up the problem. You have to make a note of the co-ordinates given in the error message and go there in the editor to work out which is the problem child.

Yep, I also suspect the scenarios, I had some work fine with the route, and others that I just can't get to completion. The ones provided with the route, and some of the JT Loco's ones seem to be a bit of a lottery. Pity, I quite like the route, even though it is a bit dated now.Carinthia wrote: I don't think there is anything specidically "buggy" about the route at all and suspect any problems must lie with the scenarios themselves.

As strange as it sounds, saving and reloading scenario may help on this route (yes, I am aware of the fact, that saving&restoring is not exactly the most safe procedure), as reloading forces the game to recalculate all AI movements and sometimes it even restarts them (and of course, it can throw them completely off - but there is not much to lose in similar situations I guess).

Thanks. Yes, for the two scenarios which had stuck red lights (and the stuck AI), I had also tried saving / reloading. It didn't help.felix47 wrote:As strange as it sounds, saving and reloading scenario may help on this route
