Hello all
Im trying to get the Railfrieght Grey Centre panel model in the Class 37 pack 1 appear in game but without the sector markings in the right hand side drop down the engine has a letter follwed by the number i.e.
A37800
which shows whatever sector markings A is followed by 37800 showing as normal but ive tried to get it showing as a plain triple grey but no sector markings but whatever i try i just get a dark grey S or 5? showing where the sectors usually lay is there an easy way to get it to show plain?
Hope that makes sense, thanks for your help

I'm not too sure about what you mean, can you post a screenshot of the issue?
If it's something you're trying to get rid of then it's probably an alpha channel issue, but I'd need to see what's happening to understand.

The sector logos are individual textures, just like any number. Keep that thought in your head and consider how we remove 'D' prefixes etc from displayed loco numbers----a blank texture is used, usually named #
You'll probably have plenty of texture files with # in the file name so you shouldn't have to mess about with editing any texture files.
Find one of the blank files, copy it to the textures folder of the grey 37, and then edit the numbers.bin file by copying and pasting an existing number reference section into the file, and then editing this copied section to refer to the new blank texture.
Now, if you place a loco in a scenario and number it as #37800 it'll be plain grey.

Thanks for your help Gary but if I do I assume you couldn't use that in a scenario? I wanted to work one up using the BRML test rake

You'd have to include the texture and edited .bin file, then anybody could run the scenario. It would be adding an option so wouldn't break anything.

You can fudge it by leaving out the initial letter. So instead of entering A37710 enter 37710 for example. However, doing it this way also means that no running number will appear either on the side or nose end of the loco.

Thanks Steve and that does work but as the loco I'm trying to do would be the players it does need numbers, and thanks again for your route I loves it
