AP class 37/9 and QD consist creation issue

Hello Gents,
I don't normally post "help" topics as generally I'm able to resolve most issues either by re-installs, verify caches or getting in touch with the developers.
Now what I'm having a issue with is the QD consist creator ingame with the 37/9 reskins from the soundpack from Armstrong Powerhouse. I've installed both with installers and manually moved the folders across and ran the .bat file aswell. I have removed and added S&C with the DLC removal window in steam. I have done a full verified cache and yet still when trying to select the 37/9s in the QD editor stock list it immediately throws a wobbly and dump file crashes.
I've forwarded on a help request to AP but I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this kind of issue with the QD consist editor and if you have did you manage to resolve the issue and be able to select locos without crashes.
I have RW-Tools so if there is anything that can be done with it to check for errors and what not I'd appreciate any pointers.
Barring a full wipe and reinstall, which I really do not wish to do at this stage, I'm not entirely sure how to fix it.

Uninstalling and reinstalling stuff (and the verify routine) often *fixes* things, but is rather a sledgehammer approach and can't be considered a true fix as you'll never know exactly what was changed.
A number of similar problems have been reported with QD consist creation, often revolving around the stock in use calling for the couplings from the Kuju\RailSimulator folder which wasn't enabled in the route being used.
I'm assuming that as these are AP enabled units that the sound files live in the AP asset folder, so perhaps enabling that in the route itself would sort things out?

Aye this is what I would normally consider the underlining issue if the locomotive didn't load whatsoever but I can go into a freeroam or standard scenario and plonk down either the railfreight/sector liveried 37/9 reskins without issue.
The main issue being is the main QD consist editor, the one which you can select from drivable locos under the QD menu which has the coupling icon in the loco menus cannot select the 37/9s without proceeding to a crash dump error.
Now I spent a hour copying over assets and routes to a backup HD and purged the TS2015 folder entirely, redownloaded then re-installed both the soundset and the extra stock pack for the 37/9 and again the QD consist editor is showing the same issue, upon selection of the 37/9 reskins TS2015 instantly goes to crash.
Normally if a loco is auto crashing the simulator it is a provider toggled on issue but t he fact I'm not even interacting with any routes but just trying to select the locos in the QD consist creator prior to any type of route select and it makes TS2015 dump error crash kinda eliminates it to a certain degree that it is provider issue.
I did click on ingame the provider tab under the AP provider tab for 37/9M and also RSC/S&C. The irony is even the route where the class 37 the reskins use won't QD load in the QD consist editor.
I am at a loss to what is causing the issue as even with a full fresh install of TS2015 the problem presists. Its not just this AP product but DT and JT some specific ones have the same issue where they if selected in the QD editor end up crashing TS2015.
In all honesty I'm not sure if its related to the recent patching which went pretty bad and had to be withdrawn for a period of time by DTG, I know the QD editor hasn't been working for me properly since that situation, be it on previous installation or now this fresh installation of TS2015. Its quite problematic for me as sometimes it effects what I need to test for Matt at SSS and instead of being able to use a QD consist on any route or place I get limited to manual world editor which defeats the object of making sure its QD working.
I'll keep looking into it and see what Richard says from AP when he replies to my email enquiry.

My understanding is that QD scenarios only access the Provider/Product folders of the rolling stock used, as well as the route - if the rolling stock references any items outside those folder pairs it will crash. I suggest you check what other files the Class 37/9s uses with the RW Tools Asset Editor.

From reading the OP I don't think its the scenario, Its the consist editor itself, before getting to the scenario.
I would have a look at the consist.xml (may be named differently) file in the PreLoad directory for errors (if it exits) along with any errors in the main loco blueprint.

Dave is spot on this part, its not that the 37/9 reskins won't load in a scenario as I can get them to run just fine in a freeroam or timetabled scenario. Its just the actual 37/9s when picked by any livery in the Quick drive consist creator will create the crash dump error immediately. I wish to make this clear, its the QD editor when you click custom in the loco selection window when in the QD menu and not the world editor where you can create consists(that works fine).
I tested just earlier on loading into S&C, plonking the 37/9 down, driving it abit, leaving and going back to the editor and even creating the QD consist from selecting S&C as a route to drive on and the 37/9s were still dump file error crashing.
There isn't any preload files for the 37/9s as Richard hadn't done any, I did check the S&C preload folder to see if this was the case. My understand of the QD editor is we should be able to create a consist to drive on any route regardless of which route is selected prior to going into custom QD tab to create under the "NEW" option as that was the idea behind it all.
I wouldn't really know on the blueprint front since its outside of my knowledge and I don't know if somewhere in the blueprints there is content related to QD creation which could cause the problem I'm encountering. I would have suspected if there was issue with the blueprint of the reskins then I wouldn't even be able to plonk them in a freeroam without immediate crash.
I'll keep looking and anyway, hopefully Richard at AP maybe able to point towards a workaround or possibly a fix.

Correct, that's why for ease of use and for best practice I ensure that all of the config (.bin) files are located in the same folder structure as the loco itself - it can reference mesh files anywhere else, or sounds for that matter, no problem and removes the need for any ticking of things.
Anything that makes life easy for the end user is a good thing.

I have given the reskins a once over with the asset editor in RW-Tools and its not reporting any missing assets and what it references to is the AP sound files and the class 37 from S&C which seem to be present and I've even enabled those at the world editor level just to make sure but still no joy with the QD editor and selecting the 37/9s.
I've really not a clue what else to do at this point, I have done most of the usual steps and even done a full TS2015 wipe and clean install (with backup of previous install) so I can pretty much rule out any corrupt in the installation and files. I would think if there was something wrong with the reskins then I wouldn't be able to load them whatsoever be it free roam, timetabled or QD but its working 2 out of those 3.
Edit: I've even gone through rw-tools QD creation process, named the files and used the S&C preload folder as a destination. It said it had saved and added but I cannot find it ingame by the name I gave it even under the 37 consist tab and it doesn't display within the custom consist menu.

You probably need to copy and possibly edit the .bin calling for the sounds, as per Matthews post:

Oh well, still, you've got a cracking set of tractors to mess with now.

I have already attempted that without success and it really shouldn't be nessessary to keep .bin files all in one location when they have file location referencing in the actual bin files.
If the loco wasn't showing up ingame whatsoever then I'd assume geo's or bin files weren't referenced correctly and that I hadn't downloaded and installed the extra stock files properly but I've gone through both manual and installer based to ensure that it was immpossible for it to miss any files. I have even re-downloaded the 37/9 pack and extra stock pack just encase the download was corrupted but its the same result with the QD editor.
I've not had this issue with SSS test builds nore in any previous AP products either, though as I previously mentioned I'm not ruling out that the big patch recently which was originally withdrawn didn't break something in the QD editor, especially considering there was the issue with rolling stock randomly decoupling after the patch when prior it wasn't.
I find it strange that I would encounter this issue when the 37 pro soundpack is setup the same way as the 37/9 and the 37 pro pack works just fine without causing crashes.
I've not modifed anything on my part just installed and tried to QD editor and create some consists, plus I've gone through pretty much all the sledgehammer methods to get to the bottom of it e.g. verified cache, remove and add S&C where the class 37 comes from which the reskins are based on and did a full reinstall.
Unless there is something specific that Richard missed out in the files for it to work correctly with the QD system then I'm not sure what is causing it, I also honestly don't have the time to spend fine-tooth combing through it at the moment, was bought with the intention to just plug and play and to relax alittle after the passing of our 16 year old family dog Monday afternoon so you will have to excuse me if I come across as abit blunt in my replies.
Edit: See now thats odd, Dave's got it working fine. Does it work after loading the QD consist then trying to edit them again? Also what did you install Dave, just the sound pack or the addition of the extra stock pack to? I'm just trying to eliminate what it maybe.

I installed both the pack and the extra stock pack.

Hm, I don't know then. I just ran the logmate and I got this near the end just before it crashed:

I very much doubt its caused it, but I have steam and TS2015 on a 2nd drive so it doesn't follow the usual program files/steam format just D:\steam, I would assume usually that shouldn't be the issue as other AP packs work fine but I'm questioning everything at the moment

I got those same 5 numbers missing on every one (I also had logmate open), I assume they've been removed so Richard can number them on the texture.
