South London Network

Post by TheTazman »

Hi,

I purchased the South London Network a few weeks ago and had a couple of runs on the route. It was working fine. But now for reasons I am not sure as to why but its now gone missing from the routes list.

This is probably going to be a .ap file extraction resolution but I have tried unpacking all files using RWTools but its still not appearing in the Routes list.

Any tips would be welcome please.

Thanks

Simon

The files inside a .ap archive DON'T need extracting to enable the game to see them, whoever started that myth wants taking outside and beating up!!

Where and how are you looking in the route listing?

I have looked in both Career and Standard sections. Looking for the title "South London Network".

By clicking the 'Select route' button on the left or by just scrolling down the list on the right?
If the former, try the latter.
The supplied scenarios will be Career ones, if you've installed any workshop or UKTS distributed scenarios they'd most likely be Standard ones.
Does "NameMyRoute.exe" find it?

I thought Name My route only found "extracted" routes.
However
Trainsim Maps is clever and finds everything extracted OR NOT.

Name my route doesn't show it. It is one of the routes with the missing xlm file. Yes I have South London Network.

Yes, you're absolutely right there...my mistake.

Not exactly missing Trev, but *hidden* as the .xml is inside the .ap archive which the game sees quite happily, but RW Tools and NameMyRoute don't (as I now know.... )

What happens if you try a Quick Drive with any BR Diesel Loco?
Is the South London Network among your list of routes?

Sorry for the delay in replying. I looked in the "Build" list and thee routes not listed in there.

I have : Settle to Carlisle, Somerset Dorset Joint Railway, South Devon Banks it then skips on to TASS Demo Route.

In Profile > Routes Menu I can see an image of the South London Network icon with an 377 on it but when it shows you a list of routes to try your train on it shows the Faversham route. I have clicked to change the route but the South London Network does not show up on pages 1 or 2 of my routes list.

Hi all,
Still at the moment running TS 2014, I will not go into the reasons why because I have stated it many times in other threads but is anyone running this route on TS 2014.

Regards,
Pete.

I tried to do what you did with 2014 and it didn't show for me. I now run 2015 with a 2014 menu and it's fine.
The day I cannot use the 2014 menu. I quit the game.
I do keep a "virgin" 2015 with no other addons, as a reference, if you try to manualy copy routes or stock to your 2014 they don't work, the reason is there is a file that "verifies" the content, I havn't yet found out which one it is, not really bothered as long as I can use the 2014 menu, but it's to stop illegal copying.
Cheers
