Wonder if any of you could do a sound test on the Castle Class engine please.
At slow speed you can hear the coal shovel shovelling coal into the firebox. If you speed up I feel that I can hear the same scraping sound of the shovel moving a hundred times a second.
Or is this just the way the real thing sounds like.
Any feedback would be welcome.

Same thing for the Hall off Falmouth branch I believe as well, it's really annoying when you build up to speed.TheTazman wrote:Yeah I am aware of that thsts why i was specifically sdking about the default ones. Maybe tone for an upgrade .

Re: Castle Class Default Sounds
This is true for most DTG/RSC steam locos. They use the same loop of shovelling sounds, which was broken by one of the annual updates to the game several years ago. Unless sound packs introduce their own shovelling sounds nothing will change.

The SSS sound pack transform the Castle, and the Castle over Shap scenario is an absolute blast

Re: Castle Class Default Sounds
This sound issue is very easy to fix.
Take some stoking sounds from another locomotive that gives no trouble and place them in Assets\DTG\CastlePack01\Audio\RailVehicles\Steam\Castle\Cab
The rename them to:
RS Castle_Stoking01.dav
RS Castle_Stoking02.dav
RS Castle_Stoking03.dav
No file overwritng required.
