Domething thsts a bit of a bug bare of mine is the fact that inside tunnels they don't go dark or go dark for a short distance then seem to lighten up again. Is this only fixable with tweaks made by ap on the lighting enhancement packs ? I would like to see the dials on the class 57 glowing in a dark cab.
Thanks Simon

Re: Making tunnels go dark
There's an asset called a "Tunnel Occlusion Volume" in the Misc section that does nothing more than make the area it covers dark. Is that what you need? It's a bit of a pain to manipulate though, especially if the tunnels curve a lot.

I will wait to see what others have to say but thanks for the info.

Which route Simon?....there are a number of 'ready made' fixes using the occlusion tool available; see http://www.dpsimulation.org.uk/scenery.html
Re: Making tunnels go dark
There's a long tunnel on faversham route that would be good if made darker .

If you go into the world editor during a daytime scenario you may be able to find the occlusion icon 1/2 way along the tunnel (use the torch to see it if it's hidden in the darkness). If you find it you can click it to reveal a fly-out window on the right hand side of your screen. Here you can adjust the colour and fade in/out values if you want the change to be more abrupt. It may look better if you adjust the values higher in the z-section field. As a general rule I always say that longer tunnels require a higher the value to ensure the change in light changes at a believe able rate. Theare is always a sweet spot to find when it comes to these things.
