You're all very welcome; share the knowledge, etc. :)

Hi all,
I haven't bought this route yet, but now I know that the scenario's can be easily fixed (thanks for the info from forum members) I possibly will. Can any member please tell me which scenario's are faulty. If its as easy to fix these scenario's as indicated why haven't DTG done so?

Regards,
Pete.

Probably because it's not their problem; the developer was Oovee.

Hi All. Hatchet Hill Catfish won't load from stone loader.
I have followed this thread and now have only one problem preventing me from completing all these scenarios.
Now in "Under the Loader" I can collect the cats OK, the task moves on to go to the loader, but when there I cant get
any stone loaded. So the task won't move on.
Anyone have the answer?

They're very fussy about location. Each wagon has to be precisely under the loader, and the train stationary. Then hover mouse over the loader above, and the "loading " icon will appear, click and it loads.

Hi again. Thanks for the help Chris.
I was just trying your suggestion, stopping the wagon every few inches, when the last one filled.
The Task window come up OK and moved on. Don't know why because only the last wagon filled.
There is still a problem with Hatchet Hill. Will it ever get an update?
Anyway the scenario completed to the end all OK, and gave me the green tick.
Turning my back on this one now.

On that particular loader, just need to ensure both sets of axles are within the "grate" underneath and you're golden. I prefer to hit "T" to load rather than mousing, but it's as much habit as anything else.

To be honest, if I recall correctly, this has always been an issue for RW, not just this scenario or even this route; the criteria for completing a loading "task" is simply to load a wagon.

Pete, once you're in timetabled view select the service you're editing from the drop down box at the top of the left pane. As it's the player train it will have (P) after the service name.
The instructions for that service will then appear in the right hand pane, so you can find which one needs the edit.

Hi Gary,
Got it sorted at last, easy once you have done it. Thanks for your help what would we do without members like you and many more.
To be honest if it wasn't members sorting out problems that DTG should be doing I'm sure that many uses would walk away and DTG may not be in business.

Regards.
Pete.

Pete

Whilst I sympathise with what you say, the issues with the scenarios accompanying the Hatchet Hill Quarry route have existed ever since Oovee first released the route. I (probably along with many others who paid full price for this route at the time) reported these issues direct to Oovee on numerous occasions and, to their shame (hope you're reading this Zane) they have never even have the common courtesy to respond with anything other than a support ticket! :-?

Result? Oovee lost a customer for good.

I think DTG merely inherited the problems (and indeed, may not be aware of them), but they certainly did not originate them...

Hi,
With respect Ash its not just this route that DTG don't address its numerous problems that exist, and my comments still stand a large number are solved on the forum which I and many others are grateful, what other products would you purchase with problems that don't get solved by the supplier.
Recently even though I still enjoy the sim I am seriously considering giving up mainly from shear frustration with issues that never seem to get solved.

Even though DTG didn't develop this route I purchased it from them so they are the people who should address this issue.

Regards.
Pete.
