Re: Chiltern Mainline - by Photons66
Still need help guys - trying to source these files when I have everything installed as per the readme file is beginning to drive me to think that there must be a better & easier to use hobby than this !!!!
For example & there are others, there is 1 missing file : Keithmross ............\Mk3a_fo_ic-np.bin --- Now I have this file installed, but without the final " -np" - the same applies to the SO file too
Where in Gods name is the file with this extension - I have WCMLN installed & it runs without a prob, but this required file is just a mystery !!!!
Any help on this is appreciated - I'm sure I'll be back with more requests - please be patient !!!

Without the full path I can't comment in detail but I suspect the files you are talking about are these;
You need to working through the readme files included with them, step by step. It might seem a bit daunting but trust me, if you work through them methodically you should end up with the files you need.
Regards
Andrew

Despite all the comments about reading the readme file etc. and having dowloaded the latest asset file and I am 100 percent certain I have all the required assets, I am still missing 15 files from the Photon66/WCML directory. I am aware other people are also these 15 files missing.
Anybody any ideas where they are or are they not required???

The np bit denotes "No Passengers", in other words the passengers child object entries have been edited out of the .bin file(s) Not a massive problem, just use the *ordinary* coaches or copy, rename, and edit the .bin yourself if you can't find a version to download.equiglobal wrote:For example & there are others, there is 1 missing file : Keithmross ............\Mk3a_fo_ic-np.bin --- Now I have this file installed, but without the final " -np" - the same applies to the SO file too

I've driven this scenario a couple of times and had no problems. I think the problem lies on the speed limits, we're not too sure what the limits really are so of course some people are travelling at different speeds they shouldn't be and meeting AI when not intended.ashgray wrote:A word of advice, having just ran the 1G25: 1045 London Marylebone - Birmingham Snow Hill scenario - service 1H47 needs to be deleted. If you don't, you'll find it coming hurtling towards your Class67 at top speed using the wrong line somewhere around Warwick...![]()

Hi, after reading the readme several times I found that the missing Photons66 files were available in the UKTS_32164_WCMLLM1.1 file - just copied and pasted the photons66 folder into assets and it fixed all the missing files including the missing track rules. Hope this finally fixes it for you. Also the DPS Simulation Mungo Reskins WSR DVT Reskin also needs the unbranded version > next file down!

I hadn't spotted that thanks.GaryGarda wrote:The reason why the Kidderminster to London service the dispatcher is trying to get trains to reverse after Jewellery Quarter then travel back into Jewellery Quarter on the other line then back to Snow Hill is because the is a unseen track break under the road overbridge after Jewellery Quarter which is void of a visible buffer - but your train will derail if you drive through. The end of line is visible on the HUD though. In need of a fix by somehow relaying the shadowed section of track under the bridge.
PS - this great route photons66 - easily a years work or more. Very much appreciated.
Has anyone ever considered doing a 1960's WR route from Shrewsbury or Wolverhampton Low Level to Banbury with WR semaphore signals? I have but it is far too daunting to to even begin with from scratch! This route of photons66 could make a such a conversion much easier for old timers like me.
Ron
Last time I tried to fix some track I ended up with breaks in other parts of the track but I will have a go!

This is really excellent, nice work photons66!
Many thanks for sharing this with us. Yes, I had to buy a few extra routes to make this work, but considering you get those routes AND make this one usable, that's a small price to pay.
Thanks again!

OR to copy .GeoCcDx files from stock contained within the .ap file in order to install a repaint...gptech wrote:Forgive me for missing big chunks of this discussion and also for being blunt, but there's an awful lot of s*#17@ been written.
.ap archives don't NEED extracting to enable the route to display or run in-game---only to let RW Tools see them.

Apart from the Yard TR bin file which I see is do with roads and probably dosnt effect the route, the missing Photons66\WCML files are:gptech wrote:The np bit denotes "No Passengers", in other words the passengers child object entries have been edited out of the .bin file(s) Not a massive problem, just use the *ordinary* coaches or copy, rename, and edit the .bin yourself if you can't find a version to download.equiglobal wrote:For example & there are others, there is 1 missing file : Keithmross ............\Mk3a_fo_ic-np.bin --- Now I have this file installed, but without the final " -np" - the same applies to the SO file too

Re: Chiltern Mainline - by Photons66
Can anyone help. I just can't get the Chiltern Class 166 to show up in the game. I've just got couplings. I've done everything I think including copying over the geo files, but no luck. It doesn't appear. Is there perhaps a particular asset box I should be ticking for the reskin or something else I might be doing wrong?

I had the same problem as I copied in the wrong geo files. You need to copy the Geo files from the FGW model DMOCL DMOS MOS into the respective folders of the Chiltern. Mine now shows up.
