Cologne Koblenz 146 update.

Hi,

Since receiving the update for the 146.2 or whatever it is I'm unable to get the train to move at all when driven from the van trailer or activate SIFA. I can get it to move when driven from the loco but still no SIFA. I've just done a clear cache and verify but it's still the same. Has anyone else noticed this?

Cheers,

There have been a few issues caused by this update, there is a thread over on Railsim.de. IIRC certain controls no longer work from the keyboard, or not at all. As I installed the update to my vanilla version rather than working version I don't currently have this issue. Unbelievably it has been reported that some of the issues fixed in the Metronom update have been carried across to this stock as well.

Well I suppose I'm glad it's not just me. There's been a fair few embarrassing releases of late.

Trainworks will publish an updated patch for the Metronom and the Class 145/146 in this route early in the New Year.

You need to start the train rolling from the engine (the locomotive), then Ctrl and "+"you to the steeeing cab to be able to control it from there.

Just like wee danes pushing the double decket with a 20 years old and smelling diesel hacker;-)
You need to start pushing from the end of loco from the cab that points in the right direction.

WR C-K by the way is a beutiful and intense route, hard to write scenarios for - it needs lots of waypoint because there are many tracks :fadein:

You also need to place the driver icon on the loco. Should have mentioned it.

Hi,

Thanks for that. I'm a well seasoned author of scenarios and the problems I'm having are with the default scenarios which worked prior to the update.

When you drive from the driving trailer the dynamic brake is on a little bit, you have to release this before you can move from the driving trailer, the manual for this is shocking, but it's the one on the right of the two brake levers or you can do this by pressing the '<' key. I had this 'problem' and found a solution on the official discussion forum look for 'BR146 not moving' topic.

Yep the manual is shocking as I had checked prior to posting here! I've emailed them and they have sort of acknowledged a problem which is a first for my previous dealings.

I've also found that the PZB acknowledge on the driving trailer is mapped to key Q rather than the standard PgDn key.
