I am glad you mentioned that point.

The say timing is everything and if you are looking for a route with an absolute boat load of prototypical QD AI, then the latest release of the ECML update by DP Simulation is now available:

http://dpsimulation.blogspot.co.uk/2014 ... t-v13.html

And given the list of routes that are mentioned in the OP, then this would seem to be ideal, and free.

And in direct answer to the OP, with all the money this will save you, the two UK routes I would go for if you are able to, would be the WCMLoS route (Shap) and/or the South London Network route.

Do not be put off also, as I was in all honestly, by those strange and nasty 'foreign' railways. If you fancy a change from driving on the correct side of the formation, I would take a look at the German Garmisch route. I adore it and it has opened a whole new 'avenue of pleasure' for me in a TS sense that is.

Hope this helps,

If you enjoy London to Brighton then get the South London Lines and the Free merged version from the Workshop
http://store.steampowered.com/app/222638/

If you enjoy WCML-N then you will like WCML over Shap - A Class 87 & improved Class 47 plus additional stock.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/222613/

If it's route for Steam locos and Early Diesels the Western Lines of Scotland is the one
http://store.steampowered.com/app/222554/

All three were created by Keith Ross and are great routes.

I don't believe Keith Ross had any input at all in the South London Network, he did have input with Thomson in the West Highland Line

they are indeed all good routes, but on what basis could you possibly think that the South London route was created by Keith Ross?

WCML over Shap, even though the 47 sounds are the worst I have EVER heard!

My mistake - I should have typed that WCML-N, WCMLoS and WLOS were Keith Ross products
