What's happened to the Class 47?

Post by K2rover »

Just tried to use the class 47 for the first time in TS2015 and I now have no controls and no interface for controlling the train from the keyboard. If I put the hud on I can get the reverser in forward and throttle up to get the train moving, but I have no control over the brakes so it is completely undriveable. Does anybody know how to fix this?

It may not be relevant, but I had a similar problem with another loco after the update and was able to solve it by clearing the cache.

Try that first, and if it doesn't work you should advise which class 47 your having the problem with, and how about trying an alternative 47?

I ran the DTG NSE class 47 a few minutes ago and it worked fine.

No issue with it here. Do you have the AP sound pack for it? If so, try reinstalling it. If not, as has already been suggested, verify cache.

EDIT: Also, is this the default Kuju 47 or the one that came with WCMLoS?

are you using or have you copied files from a backup version of the class 47. I do this all the time for the annual update, I get the update and then delete both the Assets and content folders and copy these folders from backups so that any changes that I have made are preserved. I can then decide to copy over any folders that have been update when I so wish so that any scenarios are not broken or maintain the AP sound files. This year I had a similar problem as the Kuju folder was updated you may need to copy over the input mapper folder as I had to.

Thank you for your replies. It's a reskin of the Kuju Class 47 (FGW livery) which I simply copied across from my quarantined Assets/Kuju/Railvehicles etc. TS2014 installation into my Assets/Kuju/Railvehicles TS2015 thinking that would do the job. Sounds like the input mappers might be the problem possibly?

Do other liveries work?
If they do then the .bin of the FGW one is likely to be the *faulty* component, if they don't then it'd be time to check the mappers.

Just checked. All of the other Class 47s I've got work. The FGW one is the only one which doesn't have useable controls.

Seems most likely there is an error in the config file for that particular reskin then.
