Just having a small problem getting them to show up in RW Tools, I have unpacked the AP file but still not showing?
Thanks again for this smashing little loco

steve
Make sure the files/folders are set to read/write enabled.
Hi Deltic,
have tried to enable files to read/write enabled but only have two options on Windows XP read only or Hidden.
Strange thing is that RW Tools is showing the Victory Works assests but when I try and click on 4575 or engine there is nothing for RW Tools to choose from?
Any help appreciated as I would love to make some QD consists!
Steve
There is an option under the 'options' tab of RW tools to make all files/folder read write enabled, try using that.

I think the issue with trying to pull away is likely the lack of cut off.. if you try to pull away with low regulator it's like trying to pull away in a car in 5th gear, and with steam locos it's also dependant on the position of the motion and pistons. This is all modelled and scripted on Victory Works locos as we calculate the exact position of the motion and pistons at all times.
So sometimes you might get away with a low reverser pull away, others you won't, depending on the position of the pistons when stopped (this is also randomised at the start of any scenario) - best advice, drive it properly and pull away with the reverser in the right place, full cut-off :P

re: the over-steaming. I've just looked and it appears that the default firebox coal level is a bit high, not sure how that happened - I'm just doing some testing now and I expect to lower it and get a patch for this and a couple of other little things over to DTG asap. For now, if you close the dampers you can reduce how excitable the fire is at the start until you run some coal off of it.

To make a folder Read/Write in XP you uncheck the Read only box i.e. click it until it is blank, not solid colour or ticked. Then Click OK and OK again.
Alan

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Thanks Alan and Deltic, all sorted, now for some QD Passenger consists :)

Just purchased it and am looking forward to giving it a spin on the WSR members edition :D

Slightly off topic but I was just wondering what locos would be required for DT's planned Penzance-Plymouth route?

Hi mate I have had this problem too. and what I discovered is that if the loco is stationary for more than 5 seconds or so you must put the reverser to full then pump the regulator once or twice and this fixes it. I sadly do not know the cause but this does fix it
Thanks for that advice - will take heed !

The answer to your question is thats is how it's supposed to be, answered by Pete. Depending what position the motion has stopped in varys with the reverser setting. If it won't move you have to set it to full.

Fantastic model - feisty for Falmouth's 40 limit and steep descents :-)

Opened up on the up main into Truro, but had to hit the brakes hard.
Might have to try on the mainline between Par and Lostwithiel. China clay route could now support some brilliant GWR / BR(W) scenarios...

Just a brilliant run from Lostwithiel to Par on the Cornish main line, pulling a B Set.

Then trundled up the Newquay branch as far as Bugle. This loco was made for this :-)
The twisting 1:40 up to Luxulyan made me think I was back at home in Kernow...

One of the best models yet - and I wouldn't say I'm a GWR fan :D .

Anyone else had a SPAD when passing the distant signal entering Falmouth on the Give Generously scenario?

Thanks for the ideas - the China Clay route is one which I don't drive enough, and the old B set coaches I also still have and don't use often enough, so a good idea to hook them up to some classic GWR loco to drive them around! :)

Not specifically on that one (not played it) but I've had it a few times on Falmouth when passing a distant that is ON so I guess it is a TS bug.
If only all problems on the big railway could simply be TAB'd past...

Sorry for the small bump to this thread but I thought it better than creating a new one - can anyone else who has this pack please tell me where, in the Assets folder, I should expect to find it? I'm asking simply because i don't seem to have it installed, despite Steam confirming that I do, and having un-installed and then re-installed several times using the Steam facility to do this. I definitely don't have the scenarios for the Falmouth Branch route that should have accompanied the pack.

It's under Victory Works, not RSC or DTG. Confusing at times, isn't it?
