Re: GWR Small Prairies out
I just had a short ride in the first scenario, great job! Very enjoyable.
I'm sure you have something in the works already, but if you're taking suggestions, how about something older, like a Duke Dog, or the Star class?
Or perhaps a Southern engine, they have some lovely engines but seem quite under represented in the sim!
Cheers,
--Tim

If it's Ok with Peter, I was going to upload a patch to change the Red 4575 to correct "London Transport" and "L150" decal lettering.

Re: GWR Small Prairies out
Yes, a Dukedog would be very nice, I even seem to remember one was announced at one time. I would also love to see a 47xx, or a Dean goods… But I mentioned these GWR classes because they were built in large numbers, went almost everywhere and were still numerous in the last years of steam. That’s why I think they would be a very useful addition.

One word: MAGNIFICENT.
Coming from an LNERophile, hopefully that adds a bit of extra gloss. Nice work Pete. I look forward to your next offering, whatever it may be!
Now let's hope we see some pre-war routes in the future to help make the best of these excellent additions.

Re: GWR Small Prairies out
Thanks all, I've been really overwhelmed by the feedback and really pleased that everyone is enjoying the Prairies so much. Looking forward to seeing all the variations and set ups you can come up with in screenshots and scenarios in the coming days.
I really like seeing the ideas for future projects, I'm pleased to say that a lot of the ones mentioned are on our todo list already
It would be really cool if people could include a suggestion for the route for the scenarios that go with any loco suggestion as well.
Xavier, I can't say too much, but a very neat job

Thanks Pete, the loco looks and sounds a treat - I'm glad you were able to use the numerals for the smokebox plate, they're also correct for the shed plate too (hint!).karma99 wrote:Thanks all, I've been really overwhelmed by the feedback and really pleased that everyone is enjoying the Prairies so much. It is truly excellent and just had a thoroughly enjoyable ride from Truro down to Falmouth in Advanced mode. On one occasion on trying to restart after a station stop I couldn't seem to get the regulator to do anything. Tried pumping it but nothing happened. After 4 mins I had to cheat and go off of Advanced mode to get the regulator to open - then on returning to advanced it was fine. Any ideas ?

Re: GWR Small Prairies out
Hi Karma99
Maybe the forth coming steam version of the Riveria route would be a ideal route to run them on,with all these wonderful GW and SR steam loco's maybe DTG could do a steam route, some thing like Bodmin-Padstow via Wadbridge.

Re: GWR Small Prairies out
Echoing the others really Pete, had a trundle along the WSR from Crowcombe to Minehead with the set of minks. A great drive, love the sounds the drive. Everything! Maybe I was a bit heavy handed with the shovel at somepoint, even with a full boiler I just could not stop her valves from lifting oops!

Re: GWR Small Prairies out
Hi mate I have had this problem too. and what I discovered is that if the loco is stationary for more than 5 seconds or so you must put the reverser to full then pump the regulator once or twice and this fixes it. I sadly do not know the cause but this does fix itThugsy wrote:It is truly excellent and just had a thoroughly enjoyable ride from Truro down to Falmouth in Advanced mode. have tried to enable files to read/write enabled but only have two options on Windows XP read only or Hidden.
Strange thing is that RW Tools is showing the Victory Works assests but when I try and click on 4575 or engine there is nothing for RW Tools to choose from?
Any help appreciated as I would love to make some QD consists!
Steve
