Tempted back in again tonight.
Last night I bought up 4 items of rolling stock for under a tenner + the JT Clan
Today I have been looking at the deals on routes - as there are several I would like to add, mainly for pre-requisite purposes.
Digging around I came across the 'UK Collection' - at £12.49
It contains:
- GEML Route - with contents
- Portsmouth Direct Route - with contents
- Freightliner Class 60 v2.0
- GEML Class 90
All of which I do not have.
Is this the best offer on at the moment ??
I am really chuffed with this - 2 x routes and 2 x Loco packs for £12.49
What next I wonder
Regards
John

Do you not get the 444 to in that I would say the PDL is worth getting

it's getting me too,
as soon as i heard about the sale, i got the berlin-wittenberg route for half price, then added the DB Br420, and the british class 101 and 111 DMU's, all for the price the berlin-witt. route would have been,
Then i added the re-paints of the Br420, 4 of them for a fiver,
Now i'm thinking about a UK route to drive the 101/111's on, this DMU is the only british train i ever drive in TS, due to being 'subjected' to their charms for 3 years in the early '90's as the train that took me half the journey to school (Grantham to Nottingham)
Shame the Skeggy to Nottingham line has not been made for railworks.
i'm even thinking about making a driving desk up with those 2 iconic levers for throttle and gears plus the vacuum brake valve, AWS plunger, horn lever and driver to guard buzzer button.
I believe this sale ends on the 3rd of December??? if so i'm sure i will be purchasing a few more routes before it ends... seems silly not to really.

I bought the Steam Summer Pack, which gave me a few things I didn't have (ECML, 91, Augsburg - Munich, 423, some American stuff), plus the two FCC units. There's probably going to be another sale in a month's time, so I'll have to resist any more spending until them.

ahh well, 4 days instead of 5,
still enough time to empty my wallet
Thinking of getting the ICE-T, not to drive it, but as so many workshop items for German routes call for it and i'm getting fed up of altering scenario's to get them to work by taking the ICE-T's out,
Not sure what UK route would be best for driving the class 101/111 DMU's on tho, i only have the basic ones that came with TS (East coast mainline, great western main line, and somerset and dorset joint)
I like driving commuter routes, loads of station stops, short distances between them.... my idea of hell is a route that involves miles and miles of flat out running, or shunting.

I see the BNSF locos are still taboo.

Not so much for the first gen DMUs you have but if you like that sort of route then the South London network would be good for you

You do indeed get the 444 as well. johntrains12 - Thanks for spotting that
Even more worth it.
Now have a good selection of new toys to play with when I get back to UK later next week.

They are still available to 'purchase' from Amazon -
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=bl_sr_vid ... ch-type=ss (see page 6 & 7 onward)
I use the word 'purchase' advisedly, as thats all it might be as there is no guarantee that the code they give you will be accepted by steam due to the license restriction in the UK. But, I'm sure amazon will probably refund if you kick up enough stink....They are marketing these as a UK only codes.
I also notice Amazon have made an attempt at matching the sale prices, but then apparently got bored after reducing just a dozen or so.

I was thinking about getting Hatchet Hill Quarry in the sale - any advice? (positive or negative)
I searched the forum and I found a post which said it was supposed to have been updated a couple of years ago for compatibility problems but there was no confirmation of this. Can anyone shed some light on this?
