What happens when you purchase something using Paypal.
There is no information on his website. Not panicking, well not yet anyway.

If you haven't signed up for paypal you well be asked to do so probably after you push the paypal button. Your computer is not going to blow up by doing so. :) I have been using paypal for years with no problems and do 99.9% of my internet transactions with them.

Don't worry too much, on the main page of Britkits after selecting the Railworks tab is an article explaining that once you have purchased your item and completed your PayPal transaction you will be sent and email ,usually about an hour or so later containing a download link and password to unlock the once downloaded zip file. I have had made many purchases from here without problems using PayPal.

Hi, John!

Paypal is fine - I prefer it to using credit cards.

Britkits is fine - Richard Cowen is a gentleman.

However, do remember to keep a copy of the password he sends you. If you need to download a replacement copy - or if the pack is upgraded - you'll need that password!

Kind regards,

Once more thanks all.
I must stop this early hours impulse buying.
Re "the Railworks tab is an article" , I saw that, read it then completely forgot it, Doh.

While on the subject of buying goods via Paypal, tried buying freight stock from Golden-age Rails. But Paypal came back with an error message.
I've EMailed them (GA), explaining the problem, but wondered if anyone else has come across this.

I've come across this on another site, it's rare, but occasionally it does happen

Golden Age of Railroading (Michael Stephan) is no longer putting his payware items on his site for sale, hence the error message that you received from PayPal when trying to make a purchase. I too found that out ,getting the same. I emailed Michael earlier last month and he explained if I remember rightly, I got an email back from him saying that he is passing over all his payware items over to Train and Drivers to sell on his behalf. you will still be able to download all his excellent freeware models from GAof RR.

Thanks Antony,
He says as much on his web and even shows the packs that T&D are selling.
But unfortunately the ones required for his scenarios "Essexpit-1 & Empire builder", namely the BN Heritage bundles. Which he seems to use a lot, i.e, its going to take a long time to swap out for other assets, are not listed.
