Me too. I preferred the WR units though as these had compartments in the driving cars,

That's the story I heard, too, having grown up riding 310s in and out of Euston. I'll always remember the sound of their compressors and the stink of boiling brake fluid as they arrived in a platform.
I'm not that old.
That must mean I am :-?

One of the problems with curved windscreens was that they leaked badly. Glass technology and indeed construction was not as precise as it is now. Cost was also a factor, curved glass was expensive to produce at the time. The 310's lost the wraparound near the end as well. Apart from the number the cutaway under the screens was a different size to the 312's, was the only obvious difference between the two. Here is one in NSE livery with the flat screens https://www.flickr.com/photos/sinkplunger/3416885965/

Let's not leave out an old favourite of mine, the class 124 "Trans-Pennine" DMU, and the 123's that were transferred from the Western Region to Hull in the late 70's (?)........yes, I am that old
I'm with you on that one Gary, my favourite units of all time the 124's, shame that one hasn't been produced for the sim yet!

Did the Leyland Albion engines sound any different to the normal AEC/Leyland DMU's?

Very similar, but with an added more pronounced deep-throated roar,

it is a nice video and the sounds are good shame there is none left in the real railways that can stil move under there own power though. The 455 sounds they have used do make it sound accurate though

I assume in the animation script file you can change the speed of the animation or the delay and vice verse.

Not something I've tried though.

Bought it and tried it out. Just a short drive tonight as it's late, but first impressions are it's well worth it. :)
