Yeah, that was pointed out quite a while back, with the recommendation to shut off power when slowing, but put the controller back to notch 1. This doesn't seem to start drawing more power and there is some sound at least.

Or...do what I do and play some good music over the top anyway 8)

Yeesh, DtG linked the bogie run sounds to the throttle by mistake!? One hopes that they would fix this schoolboy error? But hope very often disappoints as far as fixing things go where DtG are concerned. :-?
Perhaps it was a condition of the sale?

As has been said previously all you need is the AP 421 sound pack and a little bit of tweaking. If you can live with slam door sounds then the rest of the sounds are fine. I'm no expert so if I can tweak the files to make it work then I'm sure anyone can!

Not for the non technically minded, like me, not confident at all grubbing around in files, but then again why should I when DtG should do their job properly?

And put AP out of business? No thanks.

Well there's hardly much chance of that Matt! DtG's track record in the sounds department is woeful and I am sure will continue to be a low priority.

Could you use the door sounds off the IOW 483 units?

Door and Compressor sounds could be recorded from the 303 at Bo'ness. I've been informed that even though this only runs as push/pull, the doors operate as normal and the compressor runs as normal too. Only thing you wouldn't get is a high speed running recording.

Could you give us the basics on doing this? am definitely interested in getting the 303, but from the videos Ive watched would want to change the sounds, i recon i could live with the slamming doors :D . Don't fully understand how TS sounds work, was good at making sounds in MSTS but im lost here. Any help much appreciated.

I bought it while it was discounted and would also like to know what to do to improve the sounds. I've edited files before in RWTools but only following others' information. Don't know where to start with this one!
