That may be true on your configuration, but it doesn't seem to be a general thing. I, and many others, have had zero problems with routes/scenarios, and I've actually noticed a slight improvement in how the game handles things---placebo effect there maybe? :)

If you pick a scenario and post details I'm sure somebody would run it on their machine to aid in the diagnostics; it may well be that the act of getting one working shows how to *fix* them all.

Tim
I was interested in reading your comment regarding adding Steam DLC but retaining TS2014. It is not the first time I have read these sentiments on this forum. Before TS2015 I had a backup copy of 2014 & had to revert to it due to errors of my own making. I have stuck with 2014 because like many others prefer the old menu system (I have a lot of 3rd party content). I have still been able to purchase Steam DLC without the client upgrading me back to 2015. I just make a backup first & so far have not had to use it to revert after downloading content. Usual disclaimers & obviously items with 2015 features are out of scope.

Keith

I suspect this is more a case of the new additions to 2015's core which allow for new scripting methods on some routes are present no matter what the route(ie even if the older routes have no use for them) - it shouldnt really make any difference though unless you were really close to the limit already

Interesting. How are you doing this? Is Steam online or offline; are you just relying on the 'Upgrade me now or later' dialogue box to avoid getting TS2015?

Does it work for Workshop scenarios too?

I stay offline, only going online to receive DLC
Not tried any workshop scenarios but will do as a trial.
I have used a program called Foldermatch for some years now. It makes a mirror copy (of the Railworks folder in my case) I'm sure there are other programs that will do the same thing. When I decided to restore 2014, I just replaced the Railworks 2015 folder manually & in its entirety with the backup 2014.
Here comes the theory bit. By doing the above, I think I have accidently fooled the Windows registry into continuing to believe that 2015 is installed therefore the Steam client sees no reason to upgrade again. The shortcut still says 2015 supporting this theory. Another patch may possibly be my downfall.

My last reply must still be with the mods but this evening:--
Backed up, went online, subscribed to a workshop scenario, back offline, played scenario. Still with 2014, Success
