I notice that the TS2015 Patch hs been retracted. On facebook RailSimulator.com have posted:
Because some of our community have reported issues with today’s TS2015.2 patch we have decided to withdraw the patch and revert back to the previous version (TS2015.1).
I would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused and will keep you up to date on the reasons behind the withdrawal of the patch and when you can expect to receive a satisfactory update. Investigations are currently ongoing.
This is an interesting development the like of which I can't recall happening before. The patch worked for me without any other issues but obviously there must be lots of problems.

Re: Patch Withdrawn
It is nice that they took a swift decision rather than leave a lot hanging on for another update. Even though it worked for some there were lots reporting either the black screen or TempDump, of which I was one. They had to weigh up whether the extra stuff given to those who it worked for outweighed getting everyone up and running on the older one if they reverted.

Re: Patch Withdrawn
This may explain the little update I had just now when I started Steam up. This morning I had a wee update and now this one of about the same size could be the one reverting it back. Oh well I hope it all fires up again now? time to find out.

This is just one of those things that can happen in the world of IT. Fair play to them for being honest about it.

Re: Patch Withdrawn
Norton didn't like the patch either as it pulled it up as malware. I'm sure it was a false positive anyway, as any real malware would've been kicked in the nuts by MalwareBytes.

Re: Patch Withdrawn
My install didn't work had problems as I posted in another thread. It seems to be the latest version now and works fine, what will happen now, will it go back to patch 1 or stay as it is.

Re: Patch Withdrawn
I presume DTG will look at the patch to see what has caused the problems and then bring out a modified version.

Re: Patch Withdrawn
That explains why all the files in the Rialworks, Railworks\Addins, Railworks\Dev\MaxPlugins, Railworks\Dev\Shaders and Railworks\Plugins folders that were updated yesterday have just been updated again - I was worried for a moment until I read this thread, thinking that I would be stuck in a never ending loop of updates.

Re: Patch Withdrawn
Hi,
My game ran alright after the patch, but after the de patch, during the download this morning, my Norton also flagged a virus, 'Suspicious.Cloud.9.B' I was sure this was a false positive as the link was with Steam, went about putting it back again, but could not get game to run? Had a windowed message titled 'Bad Image'. In the box it wrote, " (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common"
Cut a long story short, did a Verify Int. of Game Cache and all was well again. Phew.....
I have emailed 'DTG Support' with full details.
