KwaZulu-Natal Corridor: Pietermaritzburg-Ladysmith yes/no
As the title suggest, I'm attracted by this route, but I saw mixed comments on the internet. So should I pick it up while on sale or just avoid it? thanks

I've just bought it in the sale as it seems good value for a 189km route. It has a differnt look to most other Railworks routes, which might take some getting used to ( just a little bit more like MSTS in my view, but of course far better than that).
However in the sale it's good value and there are a few good workshop scenarios available.

I also picked it up in the sale, I would have been annoyed to pay full price, it is a little basic in some ways. At sale price I am in two minds about it.

Having worked for South African Railways and on this route South of Pietermaritzburg, the actual route itself is a good portrail of the route, the stations are like they really are,Pietermaritzburg,Colenso and Ladysmith are correct.
train timings are correct yes it really takes that length of time to travel from Pietermaritzburg to Ladysmith, the 6E1 is a good model, but the coach is alright seen from the outside, but the inside is basic in the model.
There are supposed to be 2 steam Loco's coming out a GMAM Garrett which is correct for the route ad a class 24 which isn't a 19D would have been better, the 24's were not used in Kwa Zulu Natal.
If it's still on offer I would buy it,I have already got the route.

No.
The graphics in the route are shocking, it's like playing MSTS on TS2015. I'm surprised DTG even released it.

You do know its a 3rd party developer right? And not actually made by DTG.Mr395008 wrote:No.

Yes, however DTG should have a certain level of detail/graphics before putting 3rd party items on sale.RobertM wrote:You do know its a 3rd party developer right? And not actually made by DTG.Mr395008 wrote:No.

After all, I decided to buy it, but I have mixed feeling about the route: the exterior of the locomotive is quite well made, while the inside it's awful, amd moreover it has the same sound of the BR101. As for the route, some sections are very beautiful, but in the whole, it's not even at the standard of Railworks 1, let alone TS 2015. In my opinion it's a steal to sell it at 30 E, and after all the "where in the world" charade, I expected something far better.
Anyway, I'm statisfied of having bought it in the sale, so that I could get another route for 30 bucks. In conclusion is a 4/10.
