I have just read a comment mentioning the silent majority that actually likes the new TS2015, so let's not argue and let's find out how at least the uktrainsim community really see things.

The poll runs for the next 5 days and you are allowed to change your mind during that time.

Let's also define what "prefer" is about here: if you prefer TS2014 it means you would like to have DTG officially rollback to TS2014. If you run TS2015 because you just don't want to go through the difficulty of keeping an unofficial version that cannot be verified by steam anymore etc. (and therefore you feel you've been "forced" to go for TS2015), please choose TS2014 in the poll.

P.S. This is the first time I initiate a poll, hopefully I will do it the right way the first time...

If you feel like doing it, please also post why you chose what you chose ideally using a simple list of what you like/dislike about TS2015. For me it is:

I choose TS2014, reason is TS2015 has:

- slow, hard to use menu system that does not display 3rd party routes properly
- micro stuttering when using MSAA
- bright blue horizons in many routes that look ugly

If you see all your reasons are already posted by someone else, please don't put them in this thread again.

2014 at least every thing worked when trying to run something,and after spending over £ xxxx on addons and now find they don't work since the 2015 up grade,and that includes some DTG routes,bought through steam.

Long term I think they'll fix the niggles as they have done with previous versions but right now, it's rather disappointing for me.

What is the point in this? You know fine well DTG aren't going to roll back to a previous version just because some people on a forum are so against change.

I didn't like it at first but I'm getting used to it.
FWIW I prefer TS15. But I'm not voting in this poll as it is pointless.

I don't think they will rollback of course. The target of this is to see how people like/dislike this new product right after its release, that's why it runs for 5 days only.

It is definitely not pointless, it is good to know exact figures so that we don't have to argue how many people really like the new TS. If I can ask you, please do vote for TS15. Many thanks.

Now that a fix has been found for the awful TS2015 menu system, I've no outstanding issues and can judge the sim itself on its merits - overall, I prefer it.

It's all about the new menu really isn't it?
It certainly has made it fiddlier to load routes, and being right 'in your face' from the onset will obviously cause an adverse reaction.

I really dislike the new weather system. Apart from the unrealistic blue tint, the quality of the ambient light is awful, what little is left of it, that is !.

I've also found that graphically the rendering of distant horizons, particularly if it is a little foggy or hazy, to be far worse in TS2015.

Take a look at the scenario 'Shanklin Sunrise' on 'The Isle of Wight'. It looks awful now compared to TS2014 which rendered this really well.

Hi, if you take a look at the worldwide forums,you will find it is not just a few people being a**l about change!
I voted 2014, third party content should be as easy to access as steam/dtg content.

Given that "67.2% of the community" (The SILENT MAJORITY) never even visit forums, you may find your quest for EXACT figures very skewed.
They visit the front page, the download library and sometimes the CD Ordering page.

Depends on how you define the community. If it is all those who ever created an account here in the past, but never visit the TS forums, then you're right. But if we change it to "active TS community" I still think it is a good sample to get reasonable figures.
